THANK YOU because after 754 compilation albums, I needed a new one! The same songs over and over again! Great!!
THANK YOU because by putting the music of Gene, Paul Ace and Peter on separate discs you saved me the work of doing it myself with my iPod...and I don't have the 30 seconds that it takes to do so!
THANK YOU for the cool detail of having each disc with the color of each member. Just because of that it's worth the purchase. Who cares about the music? It's about the colors!!!
THANK YOU for putting out FOUR cd's at the same time, showing me that you can have new albums WITHOUT going to the studio AT ALL! And, besides, that way the release gets to be more expensive!! The work of a genius!
And above all THANK YOU for the liner notes in the booklet, where one can read that the "four members of Kiss are inmediatly recognizable". Yes, I look at Tommy Thayer, and RECOGNIZE HE IS NOT ACE FREHLEY!!!
If we talk about the music, yes, THE SONG LIST IS TERRIFIC, with some songs that haven't been released on any compilations before, and it will be very hard to find a better collection of songs ON ANY ROCK ALBUM this year. After all there was a time when KISS where THE BEST BAND IN THE UNIVERSE (that is, before they decided to stop working ang take the easy way...)
If you are starting to discover KISS, hey, this one's for you.

Kiss unsurprisingly deliver another attempt at some sort of greatest hits release. It seems they release 2 or 3 of these things each year without fail since they realized they can not produce any new music worth listening to and that people have gotten bored of the "farewell" tours that seem to come back to town every year.
There is no doubt about Gene Simmons dribbling on about Kiss being a business now rather then a band clearly means that he and the others will do everything they can to recycle the same old material in new packages to squeeze more money out of anyone gullible enough to buy these compilations that never get it even close to being right of what is the best material from what member.
It won't surprise me if this one gets re-released with a new name and cover next year with a 5th disc included that just says "Kiss' best of" and include songs missing here like, "Heavens On Fire", God Gave Rock N Roll", "Unholey" and such, or they will re-release the exact same thing, change one or two songs around, most likely just a live version of it and think it will be gold for them again.
Any real Kiss fan would just go and buy all the albums, and already have all the songs featured here, and then be disappointed with the selections actually put on this thing anyway.

KISS has become such a bad joke over the years - re-releasing the same old songs over and over and over!
It reasons like this - KISS DOES NOT belong in the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME - EVER!
Gene and Paul never had one bad word to say about the RRHOF - only until their joke of a band became eligible - and found out they were not going to be let in - suddenly they started trash talking the RRHOF - sounds like sour grapes to me!
This band is not capable of putting out new material - because they no longer have it in them to write good songs anymore, explains the reason why it has been over 10+ years since a studio album!
It's a shame the keep ripping off the fans with the same old music - maybe this explains why they will NEVER get into the RRHOF, and why they have NEVER in their 35+ year career - made the cover of Rolling Stone magazine!
Four old overweight men pushing 60 years old - still wearing make-up, wigs, spandex and high heels! It doesn't get any sadder than this! I guess some people refuse to grow old gracefully...
