Free Music Notes for Eye to the TelescopeFree Music Review: Great, great CD Hit: 5 StarsI listen to this one all the time. KT is fantastic and you can feel the emotion in her music.
Free Music Review: just groovy! Hit: 5 StarsThis album is more than I'd hoped for. She has a great blend of pop, folk, blues, jazz and rock, Her voice is cool and her melodies are unexpected. My favs are Suddenly I See and Heal Over. Some songs have a Cheryl Crow feel, some more Ella Fitzgerald-like and there's one that reminds me of the Pretenders! I'm so glad that I bought this on a whim.
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 StarsIts incredible that artists like this who struggle busking and playing cafes for 15 yrs are lucky to get a break while crappy pop idols (ironic in this case!) are propelled to greatness overnight..
KTs breaks:
In UK
" Tunstall's first appearance of note was a solo performance of "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on Later with Jools Holland. The performance was notable as she had only 24 hours to prepare after scheduled performer Nas cancelled. Her performance caught the eye of many viewers, upstaging more established acts such as The Cure, Embrace, and The Futureheads; she then went on to top the post-show poll on the website for that episode"
Then in US
Pop idol Mcphee chooses to use a Tunstall song...
a superb singer.. and a lovely person.. no doubt due to her experiences in interviews she is very humble when she has very little to be humble about..
check out her solo performances on you tube with incredible use of a "loop pedal" proving she doesn't even need a band behind her!
Free Music Review: Great CD Hit: 4 StarsI'm really happy with this purchase. It's so hard to find a CD that you can listen to all the way through. This is a great exception. I'm really impressed by most of the songs -- very nicely crafted with a lot of heart.
Free Music Review: Great CD Hit: 5 StarsI knew I liked several of the tracks, because I had heard them before, but it was even a better surprise, once I received the CD.
