Free Music Review: Ye does it agan!
Hit: 4 Stars

YES, Ye pops out another good album. Now, this isn't as good as his second to me, but I had fun listening to it (and a few laughs). I love his over arrogant attitude and how it reflects in his songs. Plenty of laughs there. And the beats were tyte. He ain't the best rapper out there, but I went into this knowing that and I have to say, he's pretty impressive on the mic. Still, I dug this album a lot and would recommend this to any Ye fan:)

Free Music Review: Kudos to Kanye...
Hit: 5 Stars

Prior to this CD I was never a Kanye West fan. I'm not big on rap music. I usually like the popular songs, but never enough to purchase an entire CD. However, this CD has made my list of favorites. I listened to the CD to pick my favorite tracks and had to list all of them. That's so rare! I highly recommend this CD. It's simply good music from beginning to end!!! It's rare to pop in a CD and actually enjoy the entire album. Kudos to Kanye!!! I love this newest creation...it's good stuff!

I especially like: Flashing Lights, Good Life, Champion, Good Morning, & Can't Tell Me Nothing.

Free Music Review: Graduated With A 2.67 GPA (Rating: 7 out of 10- -3.5 stars)
Hit: 3 Stars

Kanye's third album "Graduation" has really summoned they hype around this album, especially since it was released the same day as 50 Cent's Curtis deciding who is going to sell more. With Kanye dropping this album, I have to say it's not as good as his previous. The production is there like it's always been, but the lyrics have been declining. Kanye really doesn't offer much behind the rhymes. Especially when he talks about his clothes, it really runs dry ("I'm like a fly Malcom-X bot, By Any Jeans Necessary..."). Other than that, this album is enjoyable for the most part.

To me some of the best tracks are towards the end. Two of my favorites are "Homecomming" his ode to his hometown Chicago with Chris Martin, and "Bittersweet" with John Mayer (on the UK version). "Flashing Lights" is another great standout on the album, especially with it's production. "Good Life" which was one of the singles from this album, with T-Pain (who sounds okay), presuaded me to purchase this album. DJ Premier (whos managing to stay buzy) does what he does best with those records, scratching samples on "Everything I Am". Ending this album Kanye dedicates "Big Brother" to his other mentor Jay-Z.

What lowers this album is a bunch of songs that go flat. Songs like "Drunk & Hot Girls" goes absolutely nowhere. "Can't Tell Me Nothing" (both origonal and remix with Young Jeezy) goes absolutely nowhere. "Barry Bonds" makes absolutely no sense (with Lil' Wayne as usual).

Overall, Graduation is a solid album. Fans of maninstream music or those who don't often listen to rap may like this one. To me, I believe that Late Registration is his best album. This LP does have a few bangers on here, but the overall album is okay. Kanye might need to tighten his lyrics us on his next go around if he wants to drop another superior album. Peace.

Free Music Review: Takashi Murakami's art work
Hit: 5 Stars

I'd just like to say a few words about the artwork. Instead of being packaged in a jewel box, this cd is slipped into a folded cardboard album which allows three pieces of artwork on the outside and another three on the inside. In addition, one pocket in the inside contains a folded poster of the main cover painting.

All this artwork is by Takashi Murakami, a Japanese artist who is a really big name in the international art world right now. There is a huge show of his work in LA at the Museum of Contemporary Art until February 11th. The show moves to the Brooklyn Museum April until mid-July.

The cover poster is top drawer work by this artist. Slap it into a frame, hang it on your wall and you can be a sophisticated international art collector. People snapped up the expensive, signed, limited edition posters that the museum offered and are now charging double the price on eBay for them. You can have an unsigned poster just as a bonus for buying this recording.

My five-stars are for the artwork. I am unqualified to comment on the recording itself.

Free Music Review: Album of the year - if not of the decade
Hit: 5 Stars

The title says it all, the more I listen to it, the better I think it is. It's a masterpiece, the collabs are just awesome, and the whole album is simply brilliant. Great Kanye West!
