I bought this for my oldest granddaughter's 11th birthday. She absolutely loves it, but had to struggle for the microphone, because her 3-year-old sister and her cousins, 8 and 4, all love it also. This is a great karaoke CD. Basically all they did was take out the actors's voices and left the instrumental background. I love it! And I think it's fabulous because they have a version of "Start of Something New" that is just the music and Troy's voice--allowing a girl to sing it without a partner. My only "problem" with it is that like 2 tracks (one being "Bop to the Top") the actors still sing the chorus. I'm not sure why they did this but it's annoying when you're trying to sing KARAOKE! It's still a great CD so I won't dock stars from my rating for that. I totally recommend buying it!!!Free Music Review: exactly as advertised

Although we don't currently have Karaoke capabilities, I bought this version for my kids so they could have the option of singing without vocal accompaniments. They usually scroll ahead to the vocals and sing with the cast rather than listen to the instrumental, but I am still glad for the option. The songs are just like the movie - we are satisfied!
