Free Music Notes for 10Free Music Review: A new favorite Hit: 5 Stars
I have been listening to this CD constantly for days now. Kate has a wonderful ear for beautiful melodies, and this CD is proof that it is possible to get hauntingly beautiful music without a synthesizer. I don't think this CD will be a fad among my collection -- I think I will be listening to this one for years.
Free Music Review: Fantastic Hit: 5 Stars
I have now three of Kate cds and love them. 10 is lovely because it honors her ten years of singing professionally. There are songs for her last cds and some have new versions. All I have to say is that once you listen to Kate Rusby you cannot get enough.
Free Music Review: Unlike any other CD Hit: 5 Stars
Kate Rusby's music at first sounded like it was missing something compared with music generally played on the radio, but the more I listen to the simple melodies and clear, sweet voice the more I like it. Sir Eglamore is my favorite song from the CD.
Free Music Review: Edinburgh? Nay! Hit: 5 Stars
Although thoroughly endorsing the earlier reviewer's praise for this album, let me correct the mistaken claim that the artist is Scottish. Kate Rusby is a born and bred Yorkshire lass, as is quite obvious when you hear her thick Barnsley accent!
Free Music Review: no adjectives work for me Hit: 5 Stars
I can't really describe (or even understand) why this music moves me so much. But it does. I just "discovered" KR a few weeks ago. I'm going to spread the word on this one to friends and family, many of whom will probably enjoy as much as I do.
