I randomly picked this up while in a little shop in Scotland and purchased it after the woman in the store told me how good it was. It was the BEST IMPULSE BUY EVER! I am new to Kate Rusby and I am sorry for the time I have lost. Her vocals are sweet yet real. The arrangements are original and not overly produced. There are many celtic songbirds but this one is in the top three. I long for more from this talented singer songwriter.Free Music Review: Simply lovely

Yes, as suggested in previous reviews, there's a lot of similarity from song to song (and even from album to album), but Rusby's work is still quite lovely. I just love this girls voice and this CD is another mix of traditional and modern folk with her own twist.

Rusby has a great voice. The arrangements of these songs are not at all over done (a problem with some folk albums). It's just a joy to listen to.
