Creating A Breakthrough
I LOVED this CD and I highly recommend it!
Doesn't everyone need a breakthrough at one time or another? I know I have. Sometimes we're going along in life and doing our very best to move upward or even to keep our head above water and then ... Bam! LIfe just gives us a kick in the butt (I wish I could think of another way to write this!) ... we feel as though we've moved 10 steps backward! We work and work but don't seem to be getting anywhere, and it feels like life is regressing or moving backward in a downward trajectory ... no matter how hard we work at it.
There are lots of tools we can use ... one is acceptance. We can just "be" with our situation. We can live by the serenity prayer, "accept the things we can not change, change the things we can, and be wise enough to see the difference." Or something along those lines.
Whether we accept things as is, or see that our situation is one that can evolve into a better possible outcome, meditation is a hopeful tool to work with to create a breakthrough. A movement out of the stuck place into a direction that will serve us and the world at large in a better way.
I listened to Kathy Freston's Creating A Breakthrough while I was on vacation on Cape Cod, a good place to detach from my everyday hustle and bustle and get quiet. I can feel my higher presence and all the angels surrounding me while I do this meditation. When I get quiet, turn off the mind chatter and ask for my highest Guidance (you choose -- be it God, the Universe --whatever you believe in to help you) to make a breakthrough.
Kathy takes us through a guided meditation that helps us relax and open our hearts and souls to Celestial help. Let's face it, we can't always do it ALONE! We are always being helped and guided, but we also benefit directly by meditation, which is a form of prayer. It's kind of like a three-dimensional prayer where we call on God or our "Higher Power or Higher Self," feel its Presence, state our intention, and picture and feel the outcome physically and emotionally. We also feel the gratitude that comes with it. Then after we are guided through this, we gently let it go ...
When I come to this part, I can feel the intention and see it. To me, it looks like sheets of music (but only the writing, not the paper), floating in wave-like movements in many directions into the air and clouds, lifted up by numerous air currents. Intentions or prayers in a physical form going to where intentions need to go. It's a beautiful visualization.
It's a great way to "let go" and to know that a power higher than ourselves is always in motion and that we can communicate with it and ask for help. Because, let's face it, sometimes life is hard and we can only humanly do so much. Then we have to let go and "let God," as I've heard some people say. This is a beautiful and gentle way to do it.
