Free Music Notes for Be HereFree Music Review: Simply Awesome! Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a die-hard rock fan for 30 years now and haven't listened to country music or country radio stations since I was very little because that's what my parents listened to. I recently discovered the incredible talent of Keith Urban while channel surfing and saw a 4-song concert of him opening for Rodney Crowell. He just blew me away! I never knew a "country" artist could play rock guitar like that! I loved his songs and stage presence and ran out to buy Golden Road the next day. Loved it and ended up buying the rest of his CDs including The Ranch and his debut as well as the Australian import from 1991. The day Be Here was released I was at the store grabbing a copy. Wow! So few artists out there make CD after CD where every single song is either good or great. Keith is amazing! Every one of his CDs are a must-have! I can't say enough good things about him. I've become a fan club member which is something I've never done before with any other artist in my 40 years on this earth! I'm going to see him in concert in December and I can hardly wait! Buy this CD! You will not be disappointed!
Free Music Review: Move on Gary Allan! I have a new favorite! Hit: 5 Stars
I still am a huge fan of Gary Allan, but his latest CD's haven't been as great as his first few. I first heard Keith Urban on CMT a few years ago, when I watched his video of "My Everything". He caught my eye, but I continued my loyalty to Gary Allan. Well, his CD "Golden Road" was on sale at Walmart so I bought it since I did like the song "Somebody Like You" that I had heard on the radio. The rest is history. I ADORED (still adore) that CD and have listened to it over and over again since I've had it..about 3 months. I HAD to buy Be Here because I knew it would be great since his lyrics are touching, the music is amazing, and his voice is captivating. Be Here didn't disappoint! I'm still getting around to hearing them all, but my first favorites are "Days Go By", "Better Half", "The Hard Way", "Making Memories of Us", and "Tonight I Wanna Cry". I know I'll end up loving all of them soon! Keith Urban's CD's are not the type where there are only two or three good songs on it. EVERY song is wonderful and gets you into it. It doesn't hurt that he's cute too. :)
Free Music Review: A True Artist Hit: 5 Stars
Wow, what can I say? Keith is a real throwback in alot of ways, yet a progressive artist as well. He can play that guitar like no other person I've seen, and still sing the heck out of a song. This album has a crisp, contemporary feel, but still a rootsy down to earth vibe as well. Whether it be electric or acoustic guitar, banjo, or ganjo, Keith is a master of his craft.
I am getting married next July, and my Fiancee and I have chosen "Making Memories of Us" as our first dance song. It is just so honest and real, and the lyrics "I'm gonna stand out in a crowd for you, a man among men" really shows that Keith is a true gentleman with alot of respect. Speaking of which, Keith never delves into anything obscence or negative, and leaves listeners with an overall enjoyable experience. Other song faves include "Better Life", "Days Go By", and "You're My Better Half".
Country music is no longer a twangy exlusive type of old-folks music. It's got a brand new face. And folks like Keith Urban are doing all the right things. What a fine album.
Free Music Review: Solid and complete, Urban!! Hit: 5 Stars
Hi! This is my first review so here I go.
I started to listen to country music 1 year ago so I'm not much of an expert but this album blows me away. Compared to "Golden Road" this is more solid and the songs have a higher standard all together. "Golden Road" had "Who wouldn't wanna be me" and "Somebody like you" as the top songs but after that there weren't that many songs that caught my attention. On "Be here" there is a hole bunch of songs that makes you wanna dance shout like "Days go by", "Live to love another day", "Better life" and "Gods been good to me", I just love the way the guy plays that banjo. There are a couple of ballads or slower songs that makes you wanna sit down and drift away in your mind, it is "Nobody drinks alone" and "Tonight I wanna cry", the songs are just so well put together that I just wanna cry my self. I can just refer to the others that have review this album there aren't a singel bad song they are all great!!
If you want an advice from a Swedish countrymusic lover just buy it!!!!! You wont regret it.
Free Music Review: Everyone Should "Be Here" With Keith Hit: 5 Stars
I consider this album by Keith Urban to be one of my all-time favorites. It is sweet, crisp and soulful. I love "Making Memories of Us" (a tender love ballad sure to be a hit at any wedding), featuring the lyrics "I'll Be A Man of My Word... Speak The Language in a Voice You Have Never Heard." For those in struggling relationships, there is "The Hard Way". Everybody's got their own way. Sometimes you'll have to do it the hard way.
Who hasn't wondered if working hard is worth it? In "You're My Better Half", there is a reassuring someone waiting at home with a "Come-Here-Baby smile, saying it's all gonna be alright".
I also love "These Are The Days". It makes reference to the fact that life is fleeting and that we should enjoy it because these days won't come again.
I fell so in love with this album that I bought two copies just in case something happened to the first copy.
"Be Here" also includes the words to the songs so that everyone can sing along with Keith.
