I listened to this CD for the first time, and I just really enjoyed it. All the songs are fresh and new but sound so natural because they are Keith urban music, sound, and rhythm. Some artists' CD sounds so different from one another, but I think all Keith Urban CDs have some trusted style - Keith Urban style.
Then, I listened to this CD over and over, and some of the songs are getting my new favorites, not only Sweet Thing, but also "I'm In", and "Kiss a girl", etc. I think this CD is refreshing, relaxing, heart warming to me. I will keep listening to it for many more times and am not sure whether I will ever get board.
Thank you for reading my comment and sorry for my bad English, I am a Japanese living in Tokyo. I thought I am so unlucky because Keith Urban concert never hit here. But lucky this time, because of the time zone I was able to listen to this new album a day before those who live in the States :-)

While "Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Thing" was darker, this album is so fun and light! Listeners can hear Urban's passion in every song, every note, every harmony, and every instrument. I loved "Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Thing," mostly because you can hear the struggle, the truth behind every song for Urban himself. The lyrics reflect his life and listeners' own lives. "Defying Gravity" - the very title says it all! Urban has everything going for him right now, and the album reflects that. There are fun songs, romantic songs, and the beautiful "Till Summer Comes Around" ("Hand in hand we cried and laughed, knowing that love belonged to us, girl, if only for a moment"). Every guitar lick screams emotion. I love that about Urban. You can feel what he is saying. This latest album is completely different from "Love, Pain, and the Whole Crazy Thing," but it is a good different. In a world filled with constant uncertainty "Defying Gravity" is just what the doctor ordered. This album is full of joy, love and hope, not to mention the fantastic talent of Keith Urban. It really seems like Keith has come through his Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy thing and emerged a happy, content and joyful person. All of that is reflected on this album.
The songs are full of love and passion and hope. From the first single "Sweet Thing" though the latest single "Kiss A Girl" to the song that should be the next single "Hit the Ground Running" Keith has masterfully weaved his fantastic guitar work with some great lyrics.
I bought this album the day it came out and it hasn't left the player yet. This is a must buy not only for Keith Urban fans, but fans of great music and people who love a love song.

Keith Urban has trully blessed the music world with this new AMAZING album. Its almost like you are listening to a love fairytale from the beginning to end. The songs start with finding new love and each song describes a new step in a relationship. Its such a raw and honest album. Makes your heart feel alive and ready to give love away. The world is better place with this cd in it. Its one of those cds you could hear over and over and not get tired of it. There's not a single song in the track list that I don't absolutely love. Not to mention the awesome lyrics and the amazing guitar solos you'll hear. When Summmer Comes Around has guitar riffs that will give you goosebumps and make the hair on your neck standup. I highly recommend this album, you won't be dissappointed.
