Free Music Review: Must hear! Must See!
Hit: 5 Stars

I could not imagine how talented the man was until I actually saw him perform Live! Sure I have purchased his C.D.'s and really enjoyed them. Last June 2002 I was blessed with the opportunity to see Keith Urban in Nashville during Fan Fair 2002. I just happend to be in the right place and the right time during my visit there. Not only did I see him perform on stage at the Adelphia Stadium, but I was given tickets to the Wildhorse Saloon's NBC Party. The tickets stated special appearance but did not mention who. Needless to say, I was getting tired of standing during the show and sat down for a drink and then all of the sudden, I hear this guitar lick! Nobody else knew right away who it was. There was no light on him. I gotta little star struck and tried to make my way to the stage (yelling at the top of my lungs!) The song was "Love Somebody Like You". He was great! I just wanted to get right up there and jam with him. He played just a few songs and encouraged audience particpation. Keith Urban does not need a band. He can play lead and rhythm like no other I have ever seen. Did I mention he could sing and play at the same time? Not only do I purchase his C.D.'s I am know purchasing sheet music and playing guitar again. I admire his song writing and his honesty. I have connected with his music and I hope you do too. Hopefully I will get the chance to meet him up close and maybe get to jam with him. p.s. I never made it close to the stage that night!

Free Music Review: GOLDEN ROAD

From the moment the first track begins to the very end of this cd, you are transfixed by the music and lyrics and voice of this great aussie from down under!
All the tracks on this CD are a winner,The Cd even has a beautiful ballad written for his own father, that every person can relate and find something in the lyrics of this song that touch on their own fathers.
somebody like you, is one of them kick ... songs, that enters you from just listening to it once, then it grabs a hold of you, and replays over in your mind.
Who wouldn't want to be me... again brilliance from start to end!..
You'll think of me, again another song that every person on this earth can relate too!..the guitar work and rythem in each song on this album has you gasping at its magnificence!
My personal favourites on this album were very difficult to choose, because each track is a winner in its own way. But I love the haunting guitar work and lyrics of your not alone tonight. this is a song that can bring you such inner strength , when you are feeling at your lowest! You look good in my shirt!.. a playfull fun loving romantic song!, that has you fantasizing!Your not my god. gives great understanding and insight at how hard addiction realy must be, and that inner strength can conquere all.
Keith Urban shows and shares much on this album, and I know it will touch you, as it touched me, with its pure honesty! and passion.

Free Music Review: Golden Effort
Hit: 5 Stars

Keith Urban hails from Australia, where he began in the group The Ranch. He had much success with his debut album, and now comes back with his follow up GOLDEN ROAD. This album shows a lot of maturity and growth from the last one. There are more uptempo songs and it's just a feel good record mostly. The infectuous first single "Somebody Like You" was a huge hit with listeners, rightfully so its a fun sing a long kind of song with a nice country flair. The album continues with the equally good "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me", which would make a great single. He incorporates elements of country, rock and bluegrass together, creating a unique sound which is suiting to his vocals. I really enjoy the ballad "Whenever I Run", another potential hit. "What About Me" could be anyone's personal anthem, a song about wondering when we will be free, when will we have our own time. "You Look Good In My Shirt" is a fun song about a new relationship, being a little too early to know if it'll last but hoping it will. The self penned ballad "You're Not Alone Tonight" is another winner. Actually Keith co-wrote 6 songs, and 2 on his own, out of the 12 tracks here. Other highlights include "Raining on Sunday", "You're Not My God", "You Won" and "Song For Dad". Overall GOLDEN ROAD is a coherent CD that merits many many listens, worth checking out.

Free Music Review: Look out world...Keith is back!
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd is...well...lets just call it musical therapy. I have been a fan of Keith's since his first cd, but this one blows that one outta the water! I absolutely LOVE this cd. I bought the cd simply because I loved the song "Someone like you", and let me tell you, its not even my favorite song on there. "What about me" is a great song. The one I love the most is "You'll think of me", its about moving on after a breakup, when you know you are better off without that person, but yet you know that person will one day regret walking away. There is "You're not alone tonight", which is a song about having faith that there is someone looking out for you, whether it be angels or what not, you are not alone. "Raining on Sunday" is a very catchy song, once I heard it, it was in my head all day. "Song for Dad" is a great song. He sings "The older I get, the more I can see, how much he loved my mother and brother and me, and he did the best that he could, and I only hope when I have my own family, that everyday I see, a little more of my father in me." There is only one song that I could have lived without, that is, "Jeans on". And thats not even a horrible song. All in all, I think it is a great cd and his Golden road is going platinum!

Free Music Review: GOLDEN ROAD IS A GOLD MINE!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Whenever I run..I run straight to my CD player and put on this album! Golden Road consists of 12 songs which offer an intimate look at the artist while allowing you to hone your skills on air guitar. You get insight into where he's been, his relationships and where he hopes to be. In YOU WON and YOU'RE NOT MY GOD, Keith offers his thoughts on drugs and reflects on his personal struggle to overcome a serious cocaine addiction. SONG FOR DAD describes his feeling for his father and what character traits they have in common while SOMEBODY LIKE YOU is an idealistic impression of the kind of relationship he seeks to find. YOU'LL THINK OF ME portrays a quiet bitterness of the lover left behind and shows us that the end of a relationship does not mean the end of the world and life goes on. At the same time he offers us inspiration (YOU'RE NOT ALONE TONIGHT), encourages us to take time out for ourselves (WHAT ABOUT ME), enjoy the simple pleasures in life (WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE ME) and just have fun with the one you love (JEANS ON, RAINING ON SUNDAY and YOU LOOK GOOD IN MY SHIRT). Get the one you love beside you and put your troubles all behind you because after you've been inspired and enlightened by this awesome collection of songs, who WOULDN'T want to be you?
