I think Keith Urban's "Golden Road" album is one in a billion!! He has grown as an artist and this album shows that as opposed to the self titled CD in 1999. For instance, He has the magnificant songs such as Somebody Like You, which he co-wrote and this song has excellent guitar work plus excellent vocals. He obviously scored a MAJOR #1 with this song and will with many more such as the next single, Raining On Sunday. This song is very romantic and is the truth for many people! Some need a day to just sit back and relax with the one they love and this song says that. He also wrote songs such as "Song For Dad" and "You're Not My God". These songs are from his heart and his past. They are personal such as song for dad which was written for his father. It just shows how caring and open Keith is with his emotions and feelings toward others. Keith is a magnificant artist and this CD proves that. keith urban's second album is a treat. GOLDEN ROAD has some really great, memorable songs. A lot of the hits from this album have helped make him more of a household name than he already was, which is great because he is a class act. The first single, and arguably the biggest hit of the album, "Somebody Like You" is probably the best song he's ever recorded. The song has a great feel to it and just makes you want to smile and sing along. The ballad "Raining On Sunday" was the second single, it's a great emotional ballad. The third single was the self affirming uptempo track "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me". And now his new single is the heartfelt ballad "You'll Think Of Me". I think some of the best songs will never be released. "Whenever I Run" is my favorite track on the album that would be a perfect single, or the uptempo rocker "You Look Good In My Shirt" would be another good choice. Other highlights include "Song For Dad", "Jeans On", and "What About Me". Overall a GOLDEN effort.Free Music Review: i put on this cd and i feel alright...

Golden Road makes me FEEL. Each of these songs comes alive and sparks emotion - whether it be speeding down the highway blasting "Somebody Like You" and singing along at the top of my lungs with the wind whipping around me without a care in the world, or sitting down hearing "You're Not My God" and understanding just a bit of what Keith's been through in his life. In my opinion this cd is perfect. There is not one song I skip over, and strangely enough I can listen to it every single day without ever tiring of it. This is definitely one for the road trip collection."Somebody Like You", "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me", "Jeans On" and "You Look Good in My Shirt" are all feel good, upbeat songs that are absolutely infectious. Ballads - "You'll Think of Me", "You're Not My God", and "You're Not Alone Tonight" will all make you think a little deeper. And of course "Raining on Sunday" is one of the sexiest songs out there, period.
Pick up this cd, and while you're at it buy a ticket to see Keith. He is even more amazing live. 5 stars without a doubt.

Keith Urban's latest album, Golden Road, would have to be the best album around at the moment, with a mixture of songs for all ages. The first song released "Somebody like you" has done wonders on the charts for Keith, and his latest release "Raining on Sunday" is about to do the same. Keith uses his voice like never before and reveals a lot about himself that many other artists fail to do.Uplifting songs, such as "Jeans On" and "You look good in my Shirt" show the more outgoing side to Keith while ballads like "Song for Dad" or "Your not alone tonight" bring out his sensitive side proving to his listeners that sure, he likes to have a bit of fun, but he's got feelings just like everyone else and he is not affraid to show it.
Keith is a country boy at heart and this album would appeal to not only country music lovers, but anyone who likes an artist that is easy to listen to. I hope "Golden Road" is a taste of what is yet to come from Keith Urban!
