Free Music Review: I Think This "Golden Road" will turn Platinum
Hit: 5 Stars

I never was that much into Country Music until I heard Keith's Urban's self-titled debut album and his hit, "But For the Grace of God." But I became hooked after that. I have been anticipating this follow-up album for a LONG TIME, I think it's been close to 3 years since his debut album, and This album, "Golden Road" wasn't a disapointment. It's definitely worth the wait. We saw Keith in concert this past summer and heard some of the new stuff on this album and we were blown away! This guy is one of the best guitar players I've ever seen, he's got a great voice, not to mention his incredible looks, and he's an excellant song-writer. His debut single," Love Somebody Like You," is my favorite song. Great video too. Second cut on the album is fabulous too, and I hope he releases "Who Woudn't Wanna Be Me," next after "Raining on Sunday." This album is better than Keith's first and in my opinion, There's not one bad cut on it!

Free Music Review: CONVERTED!
Hit: 5 Stars

NEVER KNOWN HIM BUT WHILE CHANNEL SURFING, I COME ACROSS A COUNTRY MUSIC CHANNEL AND THERE HE WAS SINGING A SONG THAT I WOULD NOT LISTEN, BUT I DID! IT DID NOT REALLY SOUND LIKE COUNTRY AT ALL. REALITY CHECK, I MUST BE GETTING OLD I SAID TO MYSELF, CAUSE I CAN TOLERATE IT. I CANNOT LISTEN TO BALLADS, DISCO AND COUNTRY, BUT THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT HIS GUITAR PLAYING, YEAH, THAT DRAWN ME IN. HE IS A VIRTOUSO. THE CONFIDENCE! FEW DAYS LATER CHECK OUT A MUSIC STORE, I DID NOT EVEN KNOW HIS NAME, JUST HIS FACE AND THERE HE IS, TWO ALBUMS WAITING. I LIKE THIS ONE BETTER THAN THE DEBUT ALBUM BECAUSE THIS HAS MORE UPBEAT TUNES. I EVEN TOOK TIME TO CHECK OUT OTHER COUNTRY SINGERS AND I FOUND OUT THAT MOST OF THEM ARE REALLY MUSICIANS, COMPOSERS AND WHAT NOT. IMAGINE MY RESPECT FOR THESE PEOPLE AS OPPOSE TO SOME SINGERS OUT THERE REAPING ALL THE BENEFITS BY SELLING CRAPPY ALBUMS, THAT'S WHY KID ROCK CHANGED MUSIC DIRECTION. SO COUNTRY FANS, A BIG HUG FOR ALL OF YOU.

Free Music Review: A "Golden Road" ahead of me...
Hit: 5 Stars

What can I say about this cd? I love it. And the best part about me liking it, is that I am not a "country" music fan. I love all styles I music, but this is not your typical country cd. Upon hearing the first single, "Somebody Like You" I was hooked on this guy. I knew nothing about him or his music. I saw the video a few times on GAC and liked the song. It was at that time I made the decision to purchase the cd "Golden Road". What a welcome surprise for me as a music lover! It was a welcome change to the music I was currently listening to. Keith's guitar playing is unique and enjoyable, he's very talented! He simply sounds genuine and likable in his music. As you listen, you want to meet this guy and ask him about his life and what inspires him. All the songs bring out different feelings and emotions, it's great. As a music lover in general, I would suggest checking this cd out. It's a KEEPER!! Thanks Keith!!

Free Music Review: Golden Road Provides Golden Music
Hit: 5 Stars

Keith Urban's sophomore album, Golden Road, proves that he is an artist that is here to stay. Not only is he an amazing singer who is able to get his message across, but he also is a very talented songwriter. His music is believable because it is real; it is derived from past experiences such as a lost love, his addiction with cocaine ("You're Not My God"), and his adoration of his father ("Song for Dad"). "Raining on Sunday" is among one of the very deep and raw songs that make you want to listen to it over and over. Not only is the album stong vocally and lyrically, but instrumentally as well. As many of his fans know, Keith has been playing the guitar since age 6 and his expertise is showcased in this album, as well as his new found Ganjo, which works very well for "Somebody Like You". Keith Urban is what is going to keep country music true to it's roots, while at the same time, allowing room to grow artistically.

Free Music Review: You'll Never Grow Tired of Listening to Golden Road
Hit: 5 Stars

I am totally taken with "Golden Road." It has all the elements of an excellent music collection . . . very happy, upbeat songs, thoughtful songs, and soulful songs. The first two singles from the CD were excellent choices, "Somebody Like You" (what a happy song!) and "Raining on Sunday" (what a hot song!!!). The third single choice, "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me" can appeal to that inner wish we sometimes entertain to be free and just driving . . . "Jeans On" is great fun, as is "You Look Good in My Shirt." And then ku turns right around and deals with life's deeper sides with "You're Not My God," "You're Not Alone Tonight," and "You'll Think of Me." I have not and don't expect to tire of listening to ku's wonderful music compilation! And then I could spend another thousand words telling you about his wonderful guitar and ganjo playing . . . he has to be one of the current best!! Buy the CD; I would be willing to guarantee that you will love it!!
