Free Music Notes for Golden RoadFree Music Review: Another Great Album by this Great Singer Hit: 5 Stars
All i have to say is I have had this cd for months now and it is still in my cd player... I have only taken it out a few times.. that was to put in his other cd's. I now have a 5 disc changer and all 4 of his are in there with the Jimmy Wayne cd in there as well. This cd is awesome. The tracks go from upbeat and uplifting to those great old sad love songs. His writing on this album is award worthy. I only wished U.S. awards shows would get off it and give him an award. He was said to be Favorite New Artist by Country Weekly which I kinda don't understand since it's his 3rd u.s. Album (2nd solo). GREAT CD.. Run,DON'T WALK and get to your fave cd store and get this. I had to buy the cd again because the first one wore out. KEITH..THANK YOU FOR A GREAT ALBUM. I EVEN CHANGED MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO GOLDEN-ROAD@ I love this cd..love love love. ONE THING.. ALL country artists have to make a better effert to get to New England! In particular NH.

Golden Road is an outstanding follow up to Keith Urban's self titled cd."Somebody Like You" soared to the number one spot with its simple but catchy lyrics."What About Me" is a nice song about taking time for yourself when everybody else wants your time, and it contains a line to mothers who are always giving their time to their children."You'll Think Of Me"is a song that tells how things are in a breakup, and how no matter what you will always think of that person."Jeans On" is just plain cute!! Keith's sexy vocals come out in "You Look Good In My Shirt"His singing is great at the beginning of this song."You're Not Alone Tonight"Is a nice religious song ,and no matter what you call it somebody is watching over us.I really love "Raining On Sunday"It is a great song about taking time out of your busy life to nuture your relationship. And "You're Not My god"is Keith's song about his personal struggle with drug addiction.

I knew when I bought the CD, Golden Road, I would not be dissapointed. From the first track, "Somebody Like You" I could not put my headphones down! It then moves on to "Who Wouldn't Wanna be Me"...again toes continue to tap. For you slow song lovers, there are a few. But, Keith fans know him for his guitar licks, and you get plenty! 'Blue Jeans On', "What About Me',and of course the number one song "Somebody Like You" which has a neat ending you don't get on radio! My favorite on the album, and you will love it too, is "Raining on Sunday". The song is about hoping one day of the weekend can be spoiled so lovers can spoil each other. There is also a hidden track on the cd " One Chord Song". And you have to buy the CD to see what 'chord' it is. "Golden Road" has to be one of the best country cd's to be released in 2002. Go find out for yourself!!
Free Music Review: GOLDEN ROAD - a feast for your ears Hit: 5 Stars
I fell in love with Keith Urban's music after seeing him perform live. This CD lives up to the joy and energy of his stage shows. I've had three friends borrow this CD, after which they quickly run out to buy their own copy! GOLDEN ROAD, Keith's second solo album, vibrates with his musical talent, his fantastic guitar skills and his songwriting ability. Both "You Look Good in My Shirt" and "Jeans On" show Keith's playful side - you can hear his laughs and ad libs throughout the songs. The raw emotion in "You Won" and "You're Not My God" tear my heart out each time I hear them. And the uplifting "You're Not Alone Tonight" gives me hope and solace. The song "Somebody Like You" greatly deserves the number one status it earned on the charts. Bottom line, its a GREAT album. When asked which song is my favorite, I can truthfully say "All of them"!

Keith Urban is back with a strong set of songs with GOLDEN ROAD. The album opens with the infectuous first single "Somebody Like You", I dare you to not try and sing along to this truly wonderful song, definately a good song to introduce the album with. "You Look Good In My Shirt" is a surefire hit, with an excellent guitar riff, it's an incredibly catchy song. "Raining on Sunday" is the second single, a wonderful torch song. "What About Me" laments what all of us are thinking, just what the title suggests. "Whenever I Run" is an excellent ballad, about running to the one you love. There is quite a bit of guitar, banjo and fiddle on this album, filled with his wonderful vocals. Other highlights include "Song For Dad", "You'll Think of Me" and "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me". Definately pick up GOLDEN ROAD right away, its an excellent CD!
