AMAZING is the only way to describe this album. It is Keith Urban at his finest. Every song is so well done. I got the CD the day it was put out and I have not stopped listening to it. You get to hear more of Keith's guitar skills on this, which his talent on a guitar is nothing short of phenomenal! "You're Not My God" is hands down the best track. Awesome is the only word to describe it. "Somebody Like You", "You Look Good In My Shirt" Rock! Really Kicks Some... "Jeans On" So cool if you want to get a cool vibe for the weakend or just chill out a while. "You're Not Alone" Very positve song for all of us who feel alone in this crazy world. "Raining On Sunday" Such a great song and the way Keith sings it, it's so good! I tend to like the rockin' side of country and Keith has blended both worlds perfeclty with this album! Keith Urban's vocal talent really shows!! Although I love his other albums, I like this one the best. There's only one song I don't listen to unless I'm in the mood for silly, non-needed songs, and that's "Blue Jeans." My favorites on this album are "Whenever I Run," "Somebody Like You," "You Look Good in My Shirt," (Just because the way he sings it is cool sounding, either than that it's a weird song) and "Song For Dad." My friend informed me that at the end of the last song, "You're Not My God," if you fast-forward through the end, (or if you have a CD player that tells you how long the song is,) you'll find a hidden track called "One Cord Song." (It starts at 6:19.) I think this song is really funny. It has some meaning to it, and you should try to interpret it for yourself, but either than that it's funny, and you should sing along! Making you thirsty for more.He captivates you,song after song.. I gave up trying to decide which one was my favorite off the cd.. From the familiar guitar rift of the Cd's lead track to the final and humorous last hidden track, Keith Urban's Golden Road is a must have CD.Since purchasing this CD I have listened to nothing else. Each song is filled with emotions the listener can relate to. And the catchy melodies keep you coming back for more. The first track "Somebody Like You" will bring you in. But the likes of "Who Wouldn't Want To Be Me" and "Raining on Sunday" will keep you hooked.
Track ten "Song for Dad" gives the emotion that he really feels his fathers love, even if it wasn't meant for his real life dad.
Not often does a CD keep your interest long enough to not get bored with it. Keith has definitely tuned into what the country scene needs, while keeping his music real. This CD proves he is a class act, and not another cookie cutter singer out of Nashville.
