It was hard to top BE HERE, but Keith did it! This CD cannot really be put into one category. It's not just country and it's not just pop. It's got a touch of both.
Keith again put lots of feelings into the songs, as he did on his previous albums. The difference on this album, though, is, that he did not put a lot of fancy effects in it. For "Got it right this time" all he used was a guitar, piano and a drum machine. Keith tried to keep it simple, which he did in very tasty way.
My personal favorites are "Stupid Boy" (lots of emotions), "God Made Woman", and "Tu Compania" (fun song and everyone who has ever been love can relate to this song).
Don't be fooled by "Once in a lifetime" this album has much more in it. Must have for everyone who likes good music!!

This album is absolutely fantastic! The songs are very uplifting, soulful and relatable. The lyrics are just beautiful, and the melodies are catchy yet very much outside the box. I'm shocked to see any of the one-star ratings for this CD. If you like music (well, great music), you'll love this CD. It really showcases Keith's vocal range. When you listen to the album, you really can feel the energy poured into it. Such a breath of fresh air, Keith's music feels like home to me. Kudos to Keith for puttin' it all out there and giving us something different to listen to. I love all his albums, and I LOVE that they don't all sound the same. As far as albums go, this one is a big HIT!! I think that he is one of the greatest talents out there right now, God bless ya Keith!Free Music Review: Keith Urban Has Done It Again!

Keith's new CD Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing is amazing. I bought it early this morning and I am listening to it for the second time today and it is only 9:00 in the morning. I think this is going to be another 4X Platnium at least for Keith if not more. I love the whole CD and Keith's talent is just amazing. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes to listen to good music whether or not you like country music. I have turned many of my friends who don't like country music onto Keith's music. Keith is also now a three time CMA Male Vocalist winner. I was in tears last night when they read his name. I am so glad the he got the award, because he deserves it. I am hoping to be able to see Keith again in concert for his next tour.Free Music Review: Lives up to expectations

I've been a Keith Urban fan for a few years now, so of course I was extremely excited for this CD. I bought it this morning, and I'm definitely not disappointed. I'm already in love with it. The CD version of "Once In A Lifetime" is a tad bit different than the version they play on the radio (at least here it is) and it's great. I think my favorite song is the 3rd track, "I Told You So". Great beat, and great lyrics. Also, a side note - I bought my copy of the CD at Target (sorry, Amazon, didn't get the chance to pre-order, and I couldn't wait a couple of extra days, lol), and the CD comes with a code for Keith's website to be able to pre-order up to 4 tickets for his next tour. I read the first page of reviews and must comment that only one person mentioned "I Told You So." This is a rip-roarin' rocker that gets better and better as it goes along. When Keith jumps in with his title phrase, I actually want to slap my knee. (Believe it or not, this song is so well written and sung, I didn't see it coming...)
I am one of those people who listen to a song over and over until I learn the words. I'm not trying to, mind you. I just love the song enough to want to hear it again and again. This song is one of these.
I love nearly all of KU's music. I would buy this album for this one song. I consider the rest a gift. C.
