What a CD Keith Urban has come out with. Love, Pain and the whole crazy thing is a remarkable mix of cutting edge country as only Keith Urban can do. The emotion that comes through on songs like Stupid Boy and I Can't Stop Loving You cannot be denied...Songs like Faster Car continue to encourage breaking down the barriers of music genres...and then there are songs like Tu Compania which are so infectious you just can't get them out of your mind. All this and a remarkable display of why he has become known as a guitar virtuoso. I heard from several of my country music loving friends that I would be pleasantly surprised at how "non-country" Keith Urban sounds and boy were they correct. He rocks out on some of the songs and I am truly impressed by the lyrics and musical talent of Mr. Urban. I would reference this CD again and again to all genres because Keith Urban has crossed the line of what I always thought was heart breaking, wife stealing kind of music more to a classic rock and roll sound, and I would proudly admit that I officially have one country star CD in my collection and it's the Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing by Mr. Keith Urban! Wow! That really sums up this album. It's incredible. I was once Keith Urban's biggest fan. I listened to his CDs thousands of times. Then about 6 months ago I decided that I was sick of him, and I really didn't enjoy listening to any of his stuff anymore. I decided that I wasn't even going to buy his new album. Then, out of curiousity, I listened to it on AOL's full CD listening party. It converted me to Keith all over again! This album is, simply, amazing. It's nothing like his other albums, and it just amazes me that he can produce something so different and still have it turn out amazing. Whatever you do, this is a must buy album. Like the other reviewers, I didn't think Keith was going to be able to do better than his previous CD's but I have been proven wrong. I was delighted that this CD is his best yet! It's not as "Country" as his previous cd's but every upbeat song is catchy and fun to sing along to, his slower songs really bring you in and open your heart to the emotions he is trying to convey. I look at the songs and try to figure out which I like best but each has it's own qualities, they just can't be compared to each other. There isn't a "skip" song on this cd either, they are all great! I am looking forward to seeing and hearing them performed live!Free Music Review: Aussome 5 Stars
Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy thing is a great album. There are love songs filled with the emotions that I can relate too. There are sad songs and there are silly songs. Its is a true compilation of the emotions that we all feel every day put to great tunes. I personally feel that Keith's poetry is beautiful. He is the whole package. The passion that he feels for life and his music come thru loud and clear. Love his look, love his voice, love his talent. Can't go wrong with this album whether you are a country music lover or rocker.......its all here. Rock on Keith and keep sharing your love, pain and crazy things :)
