I thought her first album rocked. Well, I was wrong. Because I haven`t heard "Breakaway". This is the best album EVER! And I mean it. Kelly has an awsome voice, full of emotion and she really lives her songs through and performs them simply amazing. There are only stand-out tracks here - not a single weak one. Here they are:
1.Breakaway - Although this song is a little bit overplayed, it`s really, really good. It`s the most positive track here ... ****/*****
2. Since U Been Gone - this song ROX! In Bulgaria (where I live), noone, except pretty much only me, have ever heard of Kelly before the release of this single, but now it`s a huge hit here! *****/*****
3. Behind These Hazel Eyes - this is a great song. But what`s really unique about it is the "I won`t cry on the outside part in the end of the bridge. This really blew me away. Kelly is the most talented singer EVER !!!!!!!!! *****/*****
4. Because Of You - the most emotional song ever written. Her voice fits perfectly and can really get you crieng. You can really relate to this song and feel it`s power ! *****/*****
5. Gone - I honestly didn`t like the song when I first heard it. But now it`s one of my all time favourites. Edgy, rocky and ironic. LOVE IT !!!!!! *****/*****
6. Addicted - the most haunting song ever. Love every second of it. It really is like a drug - I can`t stop listening to it ! *****/*****
7. Where Is Your Heart - see "Because Of You" ! *****/*****
8. Walk Away - the song itself is nothing special, but the bridge is incredible. It begins quietly and then it gets louder and louder; you can feel the anger and the pain in the same time. Great ! *****/*****
9. You Found Me - this is maybe the weakest track on the album (as long as we can talk about weak tracks AT ALL!) but it`s still far better than anything else on the market ! ****/*****
10. Hate Myself For Loosin` You - give this song enough time to grow on you, even if you don`t like it at first. I did, and I swear it`s unbelieveable, once you really get into the story inside ! *****/*****
11. Hear Me - it could`ve been the perfect end track for the album. It`s great, a little Evanescence-ish, but incredible nonetheless. Kelly`s vocals are great and, and ... it`s amazing, I can say nothing more ! *****/*****
12. Beautiful Disaster (live) - don`t get me wrong. I love this song, Kelly`s performance is flawless, but it just doesn`t fit here. It`s a little to positive and poppy for this album. But it`s still a masterpiece ! ****/*****
You need to buy this. YOU REALLY NEED TO GO KELLY !

wow! i loved this cd. though, when i had first heard of Kelly Clarkson, i didn't like her very much, bu then, i thought she wasn't that bad. the first song I heard was "breakaway" her top hit. I didn't like her very much until i heard "since you been gone" and "behind these hazel eyes" on the radio staion hot99.5! so when i got this cd, i was really impressed! it was so awesome! this is definately a cd worth buying! lots of teenage girls, like me, would really like it, as i am 15 years old. here's my rating for each song:
1. breakaway 5/5--a really good first single! the chorus is great!
2. since u been gone 5/5--this one is really cool too! i love the beat! it's very dancable!
3. behind these hazel eyes 10/5--EXCELLENT!!!!! this is my favorite song on the cd!! it's an AWESOME single!! i love the chorus!!
4. because of you 5/5--this song is slow, but i really like it! the lyrics are cool!
5. gone 6/5--WOW! another awesome song next to behind these hazel eyes!! the lyrics are great, the beat is great, and the song itself is just COOL!
6. addicted 5/5--here's another goodie. it's a little slow at first, but when you come to the chorus, it gets really cool! it's addicting :-P
7. where is your heart 3/5--this one's ok, but not one of my favs. i was never really into music like this, but the lyrics are good, so i guess it's worth listening to.
8. walk away 5/5--another great song! it has a funky beat, and i like how she sings at the end, like she's shouting or something, it's really cool! great song to dance to.
9. you found me 6/5--once again, another one of my very favorites! this has a great rythem and beat, and the lyrics are just....AWESOME!
10. i hate myself for losing you 4/5--this one's pretty good too, i like the tune, the lyrics are what bother me though, 'cause they're just kind of...weird
11. hear me 6/5--once more, another goodie! i would say it's a but similar to "you found me" the chorus is the best part!
12. beautiful disaster (live) 2/5--not that good. it was just too quiet for my taste. i'm into lots of loud music, so i always skip this one.

it seems like i'll never get tired of it! i plan to buy her other cd called "thankful" it should be really good too! so i would DEFINATELY recomend this cd for you. if you're into pop music, this music has got LOTS of pop in it, and the songs really show it! so buy it, if you don't, you're missing out!
Free Music Review: Exceeded expectations

After hearing the sophomore album was going to have a slightly edgier rock sound, I found myself anticipating the outcome. I was not disapponted. Interspersed with the overlay of the angst of Heartbreak, we see a deeper, slightly darker, sexier edge to Kelly Clarkson and her music.
Not to be outdone, the album slows a bit with the gut wrenching ballad, Because of You, which is delivered with a simplicity of sound in the beginning, just Clarkson and the piano, which is a perfect, soul grasping lead in to the song, and "Where is Your Heart", is definetly not to be overlooked. It's like you have a sponge soaked with emotion, and she vocally rings every last drop of emotion out of it. Just as noteworthy are the tracks "Gone", "Behind these Hazel Eyes", and "Walk Away". Differing in the message but each a declared winner in their own right, the "in your face" attitude of Gone, the wailing intensity of "behind these Hazel Eyes", and the "No time for games, better know what you want or start bookin' it" atittude of "Walk Away" makes each one outstanding in their uniqueness, and obvious contenders to make a great single. In "I hate Myself for Losing YOu", the only worthy word description is RAW. Raw vocals, raw emotion, just raw. "Hear me".....is the album I think, what the whole album is about, comes down too, all rolled into one hard hitting song. "Addicted" is the perfect example of the deeper, darker, sexier side to her music, Lyrically, vocally, musically, a masterpiece.
Working with such musically gifted Heavy Weights as Max Martin, Lukasz Gottwald, Raine and Chantal, Kara DioGuardi, John Shanks, Clif Magness and former Evanesence members Ben Moody and David Hodges, Ms. Clarkson has made it clear she knows quality and is here to stay. I found myself impressed with the fact she has expanded her writing on this album, and thrilled after listening to realize she performed all the background vocals. How she is able to perform with such versatility, I will never know. I'm now convinced there is no song she can't sing well. Congratulations Kelly, you shattered every expectation I had.
Favorites: Because of You, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Addicted, Walk Away, Hear Me, and Where is Your Heart.
Thankful was a respectable debut album with a few hidden gems, but the contrast is very marked, and the growth and maturity shown vocally and artistically with this album, "Breakaway", completely impressed me. Very rarely do you see so many different songs, that could stand alone on their own merit as a successful single.
Highly Recommneded. Five stars.
Free Music Review: Powerful, smooth, and contains plenty of staying power!

Breakaway is a CD that I will still be listening to twenty years from now. Every song on this CD has staying power, beginning with "Breakaway" - a song that I never get tired of hearing.
"Since U Been Gone" has nice change ups and really lets Clarkson show her vocal talent.
"Behind These Hazel Eyes" shows a deeper side of Clarkson's voice, and proves that whether she is singing high-notes or low-notes, she has all the skill any singer needs to be successful. I get goosebumps when she screams "ANYMORE"!
"Because of You" is smooth and mellow, but not too mellow. If your catching on to my game plan, you see that I really like every song on this CD!
"Gone" Starts of a little quirky but quickly recovers. I like the "Take the hit and walk away!"
"Addicted" Sounds like she is singing in a smoke-filled nightclub with a captive audience. And I don't mean they are chained to their chairs. They want to be there!
"Where is Your Heart" is a little slow, and if I had to pick a song to remove from the CD, this might be it. But I may change my mind after a few more listens.
"Walk Away" sounds like Prince wrote it! Very Revolution-like! The first time I heard this song I wasn't sure I liked it.... I don't feel that way anymore. This song really grows on you!
"You Found Me" is a little slow in the beginning, but it comes around and FINDS YOU! Man does it find you! This song shows how sweet Clarkson's voice really is.
"I Hate Myself For Losing You" really mixes up a lot of stuff on one track - slow beat, fast beat, mellow voice, cracking voice. This song has a little bit of everything for everyone. I can't think of any other song I have ever heard that this song compares to. So, I just have to say that this song is really different! Oh, and it's really good...did I mention that.
"Hear Me" This song sounds like a sing I have heard before but I can't quite place where. At first it sounds like she is singing HEAL ME...but when you know the title of the song, you convince yourself she doesn't need healing. It's "Hear Me", and you need to remember that...in case there is a quiz later on!
"Beautiful Disaster" A great mix of piano and one of the greatest voices to come out of American Idol! That voice could melt an iceberg!
Kelly Clarkson is a great singer! I wouldn't recommend her movie with Justin, but only a fool wouldn't add this amazing CD to her (or his) collection!

Free Music Review: Kelly Clarkson does it again...

Kelly Clarkson does it again, only this time, her cd is much better! I found myself listening to this cd without getting bored, although on the other one, the 2nd time I listened to it it bored me to sleep. I think it was a good idea that Kelly switched to more rock songs (I didn't get any relashionship with Kelly & Avril, her songs did not remind me of Avril)because when Kelly sings balads you can hear her when she breathes and it is really heavy and low. I'm not saying she's bad at it just she's better at fast upbeat songs. There are some slow songs on this cd though. Here are my overall look at the songs:
1. Breakaway: this is her first single, and it definatly puts the cd in good part since it is a really good song. 5/5 (This song is on the Princess Diaries 2 Soundtrack, and it is also playing the music video of it on Disney Channel. CABLE 61, DIRECTV 290 & 291.
2. Since U Been Gone: I guess this song is all right. It wasn't a song that I liked from the start (it's one of the only song that has a sort of Avirl taste) but it's all right. 4/5.
3. Behind These Hazel Eyes: this song is as good (and maybe even better) than Breakaway. The name is sorta weird, but once you hear the choras once you're hooked onto this song. 5/5
4. Because Of You: I like this song, because it's a sorta slow song but it's not too slow. Kelly does good vocals on this and I expect it (along with Behind These Hazel Eyes) to soon be on the radio. 4/5
5. Gone: This song is sorta fast, which is ok with me cause I like Hip Hop, but some other people who like to stick to rock might not like this song because it's not like Kelly's other songs. 5/5
6. Addicted: everyone says that this song is really good. I like this song, but it's not my favorite. 4/5
7. Where Is Your Heart: this is a good song. It's not too annoying, and it's pretty sensible. 5/5
8. Walk Away: another fast song. SEE 5. 5/5
You Found Me I didn't listen to it, I didn't like it from the beginning.
9. I Hate Myself for Losing You: this song reminds me of some song...I'm not sure what song but I'll keep thinking...5/5
10. Hear Me: I guess it's ok. 4/5
11. Beautiful Disaster: this song was from Kelly's other cd. I have her other cd and this version is much better. I like this song. 5/5.
So, Kelly's BREAKAWAY cd was in my likings. If you are a pop/rock fan, you'd probably love this cd (with the exception of GONE & WALK AWAY) GET THIS CD, IT'S A GOOD CD!
