Listen to this cd and that question will be answered. Just the first single released from this cd alone leaves you without doubt that Kelly price came prepared to take over R+B for 2000. This cd goes through so many different styles and changes that you wonder if she was just saving up from her last cd. As the first lady of def-soul she makes a strong cd with no signs of sophomore slump here. The first track "mirror mirror" is an intro into the cd. It starts with her waking up in hesitation. Then she plays a song and starts saying "mirror mirror on the wall...etc.." and goes straight into a old-school dance beat(funny intro). From here it fades into the first track "good love" and gets it started. It has a tight dance beat that will probably get a lot of play. Stand out tracks? : (**)=This track is blazin. (**)5 and 6: These 2 songs go together since the first one is an intro to the second. Kelly takes the national anthem and flips it into her own anthem. Her and R. Kelly tear it up on the singing. Kelly plays the cheating husband watching a game on TV and it starts up from there. I won't go into it all to give it away ...but it's a tight song! (**)7: This song has a tight beat and melody. Tells her lover how many times they have to mess up. 3: This song has a tight melody and beat. Kelly sings about being in a relationship with no communication. 10: This song is a smooth, laid back track with a guitar playing through most of it. Her kids sing in this one and I think the song is dedicated to them...letting them know it's going to be alright even though she's not there. (**)8: This song has a deep, southern beat. reminds me of "On and On" from Eryka Badu...tight! (**)12: This song is one of the tightest hip-hop tracks on the album featuring method man. Kelly and Meth flow good on this and he raps about all the things she does that he likes. 13: This song is different and might surprise you. Kelly plays the love triangle as a confused lover between K-ci and Gerald levert. The beats and harmony on this is tight. (**)14: This track goes without saying anything. One of the best tracks on this album and best remakes for 2000! (**)15: Teddy Riley hooked this song up big time, along with the guests on this song. Unlike other songs, all the guests flow as one to make a tight hip-hop/r+b song. Uplifting. Overall Kelly came back strong with this second cd and more than matched up her last one if not out-match it. With a new label and other things going on , it looks like Kelly is ready to take over. The second single alone is already taking over. If your still not sure ?.......just pick this up and see how much this lady can really blow. Get it!
