Free Music Review: Another Breakthrough, Another Legend!

This album contains some of his best! It definitely sounds more "Classical" that his other albums, and he did a wonderful job mixing his personal sound with an orchestral tongue.

"The Moment," "Passages," "Always," are dramatic and beautiful; "Havana," "Eastside Jam," and "Getin' On The Step" have a nice pop (and a little jazz, of course) sound, and are fun to listen to. (While it's argued his music is not jazz, they're half-right: it has jazz roots in some places, and his improvisation *is* jazz, as that is where it came from.) "Moonlight" is a soft, calm, beautiful song that makes you want to turn off all the lights and sit in the window and look up at the moon and dream........ "That Somebody Was You (with Toni Braxton) is a smooth, sexy R&B track, and very nice; "Everytime I Close My Eyes (with Babyface, who wrote the song and also featured it on his album "The Day") is another smooth R&B song, but with the romantic sounds of Kenny's sax and Babyface's sexy tenor voice and genius song writing and style. It is a track that will touch your heart-as well as the rest of the album, which is a good sixty-three minutes. (Fine with me-I like long CD's.) "Northern Lights" and "Innocence" are light pop songs-while not filler's, they bring "The Moment" to a soft, Heavenly close that you'll never forget.

"The Moment"-written mostly by Kenny himself, and produced by him, it is another strong showing of what he his capable of.
