Free Music Notes for 10 Days Out (Blues from the Backroads)/ (CD/DVD)Free Music Review: Excellent blues album Hit: 5 Stars
For anyone who is a fan of great blues music then this is a must own cd/dvd. Kenny Wayne Shepherd travels and plays with some true blues legends (BK King et al) and a lot of artists who I had not heard of. Excellent music throughout and a very good history of how some of the styles of blues came in to existence.
Unfortunately some of the artists have since passed away since making this album but this only cements the standing of this cd as a must have for any blues novice or officianado alike.
Awesome
Free Music Review: WOW! Hit: 5 Stars
I couldn't agree more with some of the previous reviewers. This album/dvd is outstanding. The cd is great, but I love the dvd. Hearing the stories from the old bluesmen/blueswoman is priceless. Many of these artist are up there in age and they will soon be gone, but Kenny Wayne managed to capture some magic from these folks. Some really great music here. If you're a fan of the blues, you'll love this release. Hats off to Kenny Wayne and Double Trouble for letting these artist take csnter stage. A true gem.
Free Music Review: Amazing!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best Blues CD I have bought in a long time. I think this CD/DVD is perfect for both the experienced blues fan and the beginning blues fan. It capture the live feeling of blues, which even for the best live act is difficult to achieve. I love the varying styles, a great album from start to finish. It is nice to see KWS sit back and let the artists play. You can tell he is a true fan of the blues. I don't even know what to write about the DVD...AMAZING is all I can come up with. Thank You KWS.
Free Music Review: Blues At Its Best Hit: 5 Stars
The album comes with a DVD of the entire experience of Kenny Wayne Shepherd meeting these blues legends, talking with them, and playing music with them. There are 4 songs I like off the album, but it really is awesome. I wish more musicians would do things like this playing tribute to those that came before you. Not just playing their own versions of a song or artist, but actually finding them and jamming with them. This album and DVD was done very well and is worth every penny.
Free Music Review: 10 days Out [ Blues from the Backroads] Hit: 5 Stars
A must for the Blues Enthusiast!..Not only does Kenny Wayne Shepherd play, he joins in with some of the best in the business...these musicians, who've been around, and are up in years, 80's-90's plus, really get your feet goin!!. To date by far the best of his many quality works. The best part is that a DVD is included, and gives the viewer a up close and personal concert with the Masters. You'll apprecite this young man for what he's done for the Blues community, I wish him well.
