I was somewhat skeptical when it came to Spacey singing for a majority of a movie (nay the entire soundtrack), for the only two performances I've heard from him are covers of "That Old Black Magic" and "Mind Games." Needless to say while Spacey is my favorite actor, I didn't know if he could make it as a singer. That being said, Spacey extremely surprised me. He retained the essence of Darin while giving himself a great image as a singer. Kudos to Spacey, this CD is going next to my Frank Sinatra Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bobby Darin.Free Music Review: Kevin Spacey Is An Amazing Talent!

I've been a fan over Kevin's for a few years now, and have heard him sing on various things, so it was a given that I'd buy the CD. But it wasn't a given I would like the music as it really isn't my cuppa but Kevin has an incredible voice for it, as though he should've been singing in that time period instead of ours. I saw him in LA at the Wiltern performing the music live and I swear he sounded even better live then on the CD. Now I just need to see the movie and my whole Kevin as Bobby Darin experience will be complete!Free Music Review: Wow!, Kevin Spacey sure CAN sing!

I was at the Dollar Tree getting some school supplies for my nephews and came across this great CD! 18 great Bobby Darin classic sang by the one and only Kevin Spacey. It's the soundtrack to the film "Beyond The Sea" which I also enjoyed. I got two copies, one for my dad, who introduced me to the music of Bobby Darin and one for me. You cant beat $1 for a great CD, and it's produced by Phil Ramone and it's on the Rhino/Atco label. This CD is a class act all the way!Free Music Review: Can't wait to play the CD!

We have just returned to our hotel after viewing Beyond The Sea in London. The film is excellent and the music is even better. Kevin Spacey delivers a punch as Bobby Darin. I have just ordered the CD and can't wait to relive the experience. Spacey's musical talents are a terrific surprise. Spacey developed and directed a screenplay that enables the real-life story to be told while capturing the essence of the music. Hats off to Mr. Spacey and his cast!Free Music Review: Absolutely the best!

I compared this CD with a CD by Bobby Darin before purchasing. The quality on this CD is far superior to the Bobby Darin version and Kevin Spacey sounds almost identical to Bobby Darin. The rich, full orchestration added so much more to the songs than the original version allows. The music is wonderful. You can't help but move along with the music or tap your foot to "Mack The Knife". One of the best CDs I've heard in a long time!
