Free Music Review: When did Kid Rock turn into a full time country singer?

You know, I was really hoping to get a better mix on this album. It's mostly ballads like "Picture" from Cocky. If you like a lot of country, then this CD is for you. Jackson, Mississippi is probably the hardest song on the album, but it's still not comparable to "Bawitdaba" or "Devil Without a Cause".Still, I really like most of the songs, especially "Son of Detroit". "Hard Night for Sara" is a nice little song written by Bob Seger. Also, "Run Off to LA", a song with Sheryl Crow, is sure to be a hit. So, if you're expecting the hard, rocking, rap Kid Rock, then you might not like this CD. I you're a classic rock/country fan, then you'll probably love it.
