This is a GREAT CD. Although it is a departure from Kid Rock's previous hard rock/rap style, this CD illustrates the true depth and range of his talent as a musician. A prequel to this CD can be heard in "God Knows Why" on Devil Without A Cause. The music reflects and pays homage to Kid Rock's southern rock influences with songs from "Cadillac Pussy" with Hank Williams Jr., to the excellent covers of "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Hard Night For Sarah". The theme for this entire CD can be summed up in the lyrics from "I Am"...

How does Kid Rock keep coming up with hit after hit? I have all Kid Rock's CD and this one is my favorite!! I greatly enjoy every song on this album. It's a must have! Run off to L A is my number one pick. Also if you get a chance see Kid in concert, he puts on an AWESOME show! I didn't know of Kid Rock until I heard him sing You can't say the F word w/Hank jr. This Is Really Different Then Rock's Other Albums. Most Of Rocks Others were Hardcore Hip-Hop Mixed With Heavy Rock. This has No Rap and Some Rock. Its mostly old sounding stuff. But Very Good. The Best Song Is HILLBILLY STOMP.
