Free Music Notes for Kidz Bop, Vol. 12Free Music Review: It's ok Hit: 3 StarsIt was not as good as some of the others they have done but it is ok.
Free Music Review: This Series Seems to Be Tailing Out Hit: 3 StarsI love this series in that it whitewashes contemporary music for those of us that want our kids to grow up more slowly that instantaneously. The last two seem to be moving in the direction of more rap based music and less pop, with horrible diction. Not what I want for my kids.
About half of the music if acceptable, so I can load those onto their MP3s and be happy.
Free Music Review: Kid Bop Vol. 12 Hit: 5 StarsThe service provided was excellent. I was informed when to expect delivery. I received my cd as promised and in great condition. My dance students love the songs on this cd.
Free Music Review: If you would like to retard your childs personal growth, Buy this album! Hit: 1 StarsThis is a spectacular album offering so much to your future automaton children. Pair this with a wonderful subscription to "Tiger Beat" or Cosmopolitan, and your daughters will be on their way to achieving a pinnacle existence: Eye Candy.
Parents PLEASE! do not buy this for your children! you would be doing them a great dis-service. listening to current "hit" music is bad enough, Setting your children up for materialistic behavior ("Well Ashton's Parent's let her have a Blackberry at 8, so why can't I?") by instilling an ideal of gobbling up every new fad. If you love your children, don't get them this. They will become neophytic, boring losers, who will buy buy buy just to fill up the void that you gave them by giving them cd's and not giving them love.
Second complaint is that this music takes adult themes (not broad themes however) and kiddy-fies them. The fact that someone makes money off of these is despicable. Set your children up for some good taste with REAL music. Give them The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, or Van Morrison. these songs will not feature Girl-fights, trite relationships, or undermine your childs future. I know My kids will deserve better than this gobbledygook.
Free Music Review: Kids like it. Who would've guessed? Hit: 3 StarsMy two children, aged 6 & 4, successfully campaigned for the inclusion of this CD into our road-trip repertoire. They cheerfully sit in the back and sing along to every track. The Kidz Bop franchise is perfectly suited for its target audience (i.e., the under-12 group), but don't expect your 15 year old niece to want it for her birthday. It's a little saccharine for adults to stomach, but not so horribly awful that you feel the need to spork your own ears in self-defense.
This is a great pick for kids growing out of The Wiggles and Backyardigans CDs, but not quite ready for uncensored radio play.
