Free Music Review: And They're At It Again
Hit: 1 Stars

I fail to realize the point of remaking songs that for the most part have the exact same lyrics as the initial version. Why do that when I can buy the original and have better vocals and better background music? The slightly different melodies to the songs are just plain horrible. Why mess with a good thing?

Jason Mraz's song "I'm Yours" was ruined. Not only was the melody of the song changed for the worse, but both the Kidz and the adult singer's vocals are very poor when compared to the smooth and soothing voice of Jason Mraz. The Jonas Brothers's "Burnin' Up" (don't let their Disney Image fool you, the Jonas Brothers do have talent) was also destroyed due to the vocals of the singers.

Finally, the Pussycat Dolls and both songs by Rihanna should not be on a CD that is trying to showcase 'kid friendly' music. The Pussycat Dolls's image in the music industry is everything but wholesome. And Rihanna's song is about leaving a man who cheated on her. Since when was this good for children's ears? Not to mention the lyrics were changed to fit the 'kid friendly image'. When you have to mess with song lyrics to make it acceptable to kids, you should just leave it alone as obviously it was not meant for it to be on the album.

Parents, trust me, the originals are better.

Free Music Review: Just plain bad and absolutely not for kids
Hit: 1 Stars

This is another example of the entertainment industry recycling their crap to every segment and age group they can. This CD seems okay because it is sang by kids but it is not. The topics are not appropriate at all. Too much adult centric relationship matters/boyfriend/girlfriend/attitude. Kids have absolutely no need to try to make sense of such content or to feel that it should be part of their world because after all, it is sang by kids...

It is with such products that the entertainment industry pushes kids into pre teen behaviors and consumption. Kids become more concerned about acting 'cool' and pop culture than being kids...They then reach teenager years and are missing the pieces to become adults.
You might think one CD won't do that and you are right...It is the continous exposure to other 'products' and 'communication' that ends up doing it.
Musically..this thing is absolutely crap...done cheaply...all based on marketing...
Kids are absolutely not asking for such CD. the system made them and their parents believe that.

Free Music Review: Huh?
Hit: 1 Stars

I'm not even a parent, I'm a nanny, and this CD disgusts me. Why are these songs on here? I would rather listen to 8 year olds covering 21 Gun Salute instead of hearing them say when they "grow up they want to have groupies"--and why is that song not censored when "So What" is? That makes no sense to me. I seriously think this is some kind of sick joke. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank.
