Free Music Notes for Only by the NightFree Music Review: gregforluck Hit: 5 Stars
Pretty much going in buying this CD with no idea what I was going to get. Taking a chance left me VERY "F----- HAPPY" that I made a blind purchase-after only listening to "SEX ON FIRE" on the radio. Reviews saying that from the past say they have evolved. Not that they were not very good, but have changed their style. Will I soon find out I am wasting money if I blind purchase?.?. I will let you know....... Back to this CD. These guys are a band that will pretty much strike the MIDDLE of the ROAD listeners fancy, they are contemporary main-stream here on this CD. A main-stream band that shows quality with a difference. This is just my oppinion. Get back to me at gregorybardakos@aol.com to compare notes. Thanks for reading.
Free Music Review: Kings of Leon deliver again!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Ok first off I will admit, I am a huge KOL fan. I have been playing their first 3 albums non stop leading up to this album. In their only by the night home movies, I liked what I heard when they played the snip-its of the songs. After listening to the album I am amazed. This album is so great. I don't understand what people are hearing, the band has not changed one bit with its style. Each album is different from the last, but at the same time having the same KOL style. This album is the exact same another positive step for the band. If you are a KOL fan you will enjoy this album. It is solid from beginning to end, go out and pick this one up, you won't regret it!!
Free Music Review: Closer Hit: 5 Stars
This song is a plea from someone trapped beyond the past, calling closer.
A trembling and cascading marriage of words and music, truly beautiful are both, and never has a song been more defining as a reminder that there are those who are shaking the bars of invisible prisons and those listening to the rattling who are holding the keys. This is the embodiment of that longing to be free, that unconscious urging in all of us for something unseen, something lost in eternity, lost in a dream, but sung sweetly and heard clearly in this, The Kings of Leon: Closer.
let us out. and bring us closer...

Free Music Review: Great New Southern Rock by the Kings of Leon!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
After reading the current issue of Rolling Stone, the one with the Kings of Leon on the cover, I learned more about this "new" southern band. Come to find out they're real southerners!!!! The article is great and I highly recommend reading it, this is a great new band period!!! So, I bought the CD, and I really enjoyed it. It won a grammy for the song "Sex on Fire". Some other highlights on the CD include "Use Somebody", "Notion", and "Revelry". It consists of 11 total songs.
This is some great new southern rock, and I love it!!! These guys are great. Now I see why they are so big!!!! I highly recommend this CD. Thanks!!!!
Free Music Review: The family matures... Hit: 5 Stars
After crashing on the scene with three comparatively rowdy albums (KoL are huge in the UK) the boys seem to have relaxed and settled down with this one, a very self-assured and mature album it is too, not one that hits you in the balls but thoughtful and professional. The sound quality on my vinyl copy is stunningly clear and natural sounding - a treat to have the guys sitting playing in my living room, it's that good!
The playing is as assured as always whether live or on record, this could be considered their best album to date, the chemistry within the group is amazing, i hope they stay around for many years to come!
