Free Music Review: Kirk's albums get better every time a new one is released...

I have not taken this CD out of the player in my van. I havent downloaded it to my IPOD yet. My kids (ages 16,13,6 and 4) won't let me because they love listening to it everytime we get in the van. The little girls especially love the "I am God" track. We are also HUGE Toby Mac fans and they love that he is singing with Kirk on that one. It seems every song is better than the last. We drive around town worshipping and singing along with Kirk. This is a great CD I recommend it highly!!!Free Music Review: Wonderfull!!

When I first heard "This is It," I said to myself wow...Kirk definitely brought it back. I couldn't wait for it to drop! And I was pleasantly pleased...It would take all day....Ohhhhh beautiful!!!! I love the overall feel to the album..There were some jazzy elements about it. You'll be pleased. I don't know why everyone is comparing Hero to it. I mean I think it's a great album and just as good!Free Music Review: No Superlatives Needed

The thing about Kirk Franklin music is that it is not music.
It is a meditative experience.
If you are looking for a way to pass the time and tap your foot a little it will happen here however, there is a deeper experience awaiting those who wish to go to that quite place.
Engaging your heart muscles here will be a rewarded effort and perhaps you will find that refreshment your soul is looking for.
Just so we are clear I am not saying that this album rises to the level of cannon or that in anyway Kirk is anything other than what he says of himself a "Jesus Freak".
I am saying that Kirk again has agonizes over the questions we are all asking: God What do you think of me? The coolest thing is he waits for the answer and puts it to music, sweet, expressive, soulful music.
I so appreciate the heart and spirit of all Kirk's music and identify with the struggles, triumphs, hurts, sorrows, and most of all the hope I receive knowing God sees and hears me.
Thanks Kirk I can't wait to see you live as you minister to the brokenhearted and allow Jesus to use you to help bind up our hearts.

As it has become customary, there is a remake of a secular song "Declaration (This Is It)". However, this is not it!! There's more to love! This CD is mellow in comparison to others, but there is true heart expression in each song. Right now, I keep hitting replay on track #10 - "It Would Take All Day"! The song delves into the vast ways of God, and can only describe it as 'It's Incredible'! Truly -- it is!! If you love worship where you appreciate your relationship with the Lord, I highly recommend it!!Free Music Review: The Best Kirk's Ever Done!

Kirk Franklin's music has always been superlative from the moment he started. Each compliation has exceeded the previous. But 'The Fight Of My Life' speaks to everyone;young,old, white,black,hispanic... Each song on the CD has something for everyone..believers and non-believers alike. To have a cut that you can skate to(Still In Love)and a song from Toby Mac, a rocker singing about GOD? On the same CD! It is so amazing how Kirk has included every facet of our lives and livehood yet not left out anyone or any place we might go leaving the best for last (The Last Jesus) indicating we, the believers, are quite possibly the only JESUS some people might see was truly awesome. You've heard it all before but music transcends the senses and opens the heart to listen. I listened and I can't stop. Thank you so much, Kirk, for the beautiful words from Our Father.
