Kirk Franklin's music has always been superlative from the moment he started. Each compliation has exceeded the previous. But 'The Fight Of My Life' speaks to everyone;young,old, white,black,hispanic... Each song on the CD has something for everyone..believers and non-believers alike. To have a cut that you can skate to(Still In Love)and a song from Toby Mac, a rocker singing about GOD? On the same CD! It is so amazing how Kirk has included every facet of our lives and livehood yet not left out anyone or any place we might go leaving the best for last (The Last Jesus) indicating we, the believers, are quite possibly the only JESUS some people might see was truly awesome. You've heard it all before but music transcends the senses and opens the heart to listen. I listened and I can't stop. Thank you so much, Kirk, for the beautiful words from Our Father.Free Music Review: FANTASTIC!

I am and have been a fan from the start. It normally takes me a few runs to begin to love any recording but I must admit that after hearing the new cd just once I was hooked. So many of the songs just hit home for me, especiallly "Help Me Believe". I enjoyed hearing the riffs by the female vocalists. Of course it was great to hear from Rance Allen (OHIO) again! I always enjoy hearing Kirk sing. The power is in the anointing and you have it Mr. Franklin. I believe and pray that this cd will have the power to reach those who are straddling the fence or just plain lost - what a witnessing tool. It's just so personal and relational and pertinent. I can say so much more but ... May GOD continue to enlarge your territory, anoint you, bless and prosper you and your family and may GOD continue to use you to bless us Kirk!Free Music Review: For Every Believer!

This CD is PHENOMENAL!! The song reflects every stage of the life journey of all Christian's who seek a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ -- from wanting to please God to anguishing through adversity to surrendering to God to allowing oneself be changed into the likeness of Christ in order to bring other's to Him. Each song is beautifully written and masterfully prepared, integrating traditional musical styles with modern approaches, so they all have mass appeal for Christians if every age to appreciate. The lyrics are so REAL, which attests to the fact that this CD is truly God-ordained. I play it constantly and so will you. Definitely a must-buy!! For me, a Kirk Franklin CD never disappoints! I absolutely love this CD - every song is excellent. Although the vocals is not as awesome as other Kirk CDs, still... Excellent! Not sure why the young man on the song "Whole Nation" (Donovan) is not signed yet but this kid is truly awesome!!! I'm also not sure what those who gave this CD a low rating is listening to but perhaps you should listen more and concentrate on the lyrics.
Overall, like I said before the background vocals on some of the songs are not "great" but the lyrics, and the overall tempo of this CD has not stopped playing all over my house! I look forward to what's next for Kirk.
Free Music Review: Timing is Everything, and Then Some

Discovered this album, and Kirk Franklin, during a time when the message of the album, survival, by faith, was so needed. On a random radio sweep, listening to an interview with Franklin on NPR of all places. Picked up the album during one of those proverbial Dark Nights of the Soul, and every track hit me - this angst-ridden middle-aged white guy - right between the eyes. One of those amazing moments when it feels a work of such pure artistry was composed and performed just for you. Haunting at times, rocking at others, a blend of melodious prayer and unrestrained joyous rythm. The perfect album for these imperfect times.
