Free Music Notes for Detroit Rock City: Music From The Motion Picture

Free Music Review: This is the best soundtrack I have ever 5 Stars

This is an amazing cd. A few songs are not up to par with the others they are still good though. Everclear starts it off hard with their rendition of the boys are back in town and KISS follows with shout it out loud then enter Van Halen with their classic runnin' with the devil only to be upstaged by Pantera's rippin' rendition of Ted Nudgent's classic cat scratch fever and Black Sabbath keeps up the rockin' with their all time coolest song iron man. Then enter Marilyn Manson with his interesting cover of the AC/DC classic highway to hell. Then the album takes a dive with the not so good DRAIN sth cover of 20th century boy but then KISS makes up for it with the title track detroit rock city. Thin Lizzy then comes up to bat with jailbreak (which is an enjoyable tune) followed by A live version of Cheap Trick doing surrender. David Bowie comes up with rebel rebel (one of my favorites I might add) followed by The Donnas doing a rockin' cover of KISS's strutter. The Runaways follow up with school days and then Sweet does the catchy classic little willy. And closing it all up is KISS with the new single nothing can keep me from you which, while very un-KISS like, is pretty good in my opinion. The only thing I don't like is they chose not to put the KISS classic rock and roll all night on it, yet despite that it is the best soundtrack I have ever heard, and I've heard a lot. I strongly suggest you buy this soundtrack.

Free Music Review: Soundtrack Of Rock n Roll
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the best soundtracks in my rock archieve.Songs from the monsters of rock KISS,AC/DC,Pantera,Thin Lizzy,Van Halen and many more...But there are more songs in the movie. Why didn't they put them into this album.Where is Whole Lotta Rosie,Problem Child,Blitzkrieg Bob,Rock n Roll All Nite. But remaining songs are a good reason to buy this one.The Donnas,Cheap Trick,Black Sabbath....But the bad or WORST part is marilyn manson coveres(or tried to cover)the classic Highway TO Hell.I'm a big AC/DC fan and when I listen AC/DC albums I listen Highway To Hell many times. But in this album I m listening every song many times except marilyn mansons Highway To Hell.I listened this one only once and I swore not to listen again.Pantera as always do coveres Ted Nugents Cat Stratch Fewer excellent. This album is great for rock fans but it could have been better if the missing songs were in. And one last word for marilyn manson.SHUT UP!and DO NOT cover any AC/DC songs again.

Free Music Review: great cd, but many songs not included
Hit: 5 Stars

Hey, this cd had an awsome collection of classic rock tunes (aside from the covers by manson, pantera, and everclear). The only thing that bothered me was the fact that there was many great songs in he movie which were not included in the soundtrack. With that said, I was wondering the name of one song in specific, is played when Trip tries to take the kiss ticket from the little kid on the pinball machine and his older brother (chungo) is walking down the isle of the store to punch him,it is a great song but I dont know the name or the artist, someone PLEASE e-mail me or post the name/artist. thanks.

Free Music Review: Elevator Song
Hit: 5 Stars

First, great soundtrack. Love the movie. I was a teenager in 1978, when the movie is set. This was my kind of music (mostly). Thanks to the reviewer who made the complete list. I just watched the movie and tried to make the list myself. There were a few I couldn't make out so I got them from your list. The song in the elevator is Black Superman-'Muhammad Ali' by Johnny Wakelin & The Kinshasa Band. Not to nitpick, but some songs weren't out 'til 1979. Like Highway to Hell by AC/DC and Escape (The Pina Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes. It was the last #1 song of the 70's and the first #1 song of the 80's.

Free Music Review: I Great 80's Rock Soundtrack!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great Soundtrack. it has all the 80's rock bands. i think you should buy it. that it a orignal line. My favorite songs from it are Black Sabbath (Iron Man) Van Halen (Runnin with the devil) and mostly all of them. there is one great song that is not in it. it is by The Ramones the song is called Blitzkrieg Bop... you should get the movie to. it own it. its one of my favorite movies. so add this one to your favorite rock cd's. i would write a longer review, but i want to watch MTV so bye.
