Free Music Review: A definite should buy

This is one of the rare albums in which an entirely different sort of theme can be incorporated into it and not change the original sound. Korn has used it's musical talent to import outside artists, such as rapper Ice Cube, and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, and use them to add a fresh yet familiar sound to their songs, a musical hybrid of sorts. At times it seems that you are listening to a violent symphony rather than the band we know and love. The things that they do with guitars in the background of most of their songs incorporates a dreamlike aspect into them. Some of the songs seem to contain the impression of wistful longing or of something dear lost forever, to be replaced by the torment of the knowlege of that loss or impossibility. How they manage this without sounding like some "wuss band" is beyond my comprehension, but they do it extremely well. If you are one of the unfortunate people not to own it yet, it should definitely be on your priority list to get it. The bottom line: Korn: "Follow the leader" is an amazing miasma of sound and emotion. Get it! -Chad the so called critic
