Free Music Review: YOU ONE STAR PEOPLE!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Excuse me, but i'm sorry that somebody had to come and save metal from you old farts. You are so self riteous and hipicriticle to relize that you all sound the same. They actually right songs that people like instead of songs that people have to like. And I'm sorry that David Silveria plays drum parts that actually get you into the music and that are groovy instead of playing a bunch of double bass and crashes. Your music is tired, your completely uncreative, and you are doomed to play the same old metal riff and obnoxious screaming for the rest of your life.

Free Music Review: I know some of you real metal fans may hate me for saying this...
Hit: 3 Stars

But I actually kinda like this album, I find some of the songs here catchy and the angry vocals only enhance the mood. Granted, I hate nu-metal and all of its simplicity and annoyance, and to be honest I hate Korn, but this is somehow different from their other releases. Jonathan Davis sounds like a tortured soul here, not a complete fake like in their self titled and especially 'See you on the Other Side'. Songs like 'Reclaim my Place', 'Dead Bodies Everywhere' and especially 'Freak on a Leash' make me think twice about saying that Korn has absolutely no potential. Everything just seems to fall into place here, and I like what the band has done on this album. The only track I hate is 'All in the Family' with Fred Durst, because lets face it, anything with Fred Durst is s**t. I think 'Children of the Korn' though, is a very cool song with the duet with Ice Cube (back when he was good). Although a lot of the songs have to do with self loathing and a "f**k me" type of attitude, this still gets a solid 3 stars from me. However, unless you like nu-metal and metalcore, do not get Korn's other albums, as they are not even close to being up to par with this one. And in my opinion, this is Korn's only shining moment. This may have been a surprise to some of you, and with that being said, Im finished with this review.

Free Music Review: Follow The Leader- Korn
Hit: 5 Stars

Alright, I'm here to review the album Follow The Leader by Korn (which I got along with their first album for ?6, so you people in the UK should look out for that...) and I'd happily pay for more for it too! Korn are one of the four nu-metal bands I enjoy (alongside Slipknot, System Of A Down (not really nu-metal but classed that way) and Incubus, but I dislike the rest of the nu-metal genre.)So, lets get down to business on a track-by-track rundown...

1.It's On! 9/10:
High-energy opener, starts with a weird nose and slowly builds with the drums. And the tension builds towards the end of the songs and ends with Jonathan Davis screaming "It's On!" over and over again until again he sounds out of breath. His gasp for breath can actually be heard in the first few seconds of....

2.Freak On A Leash 10/10
One of my favourite Korn songs, especially with the incredibly catchy chorus. The lyrics regard that Jonathan feels that the record company are using his pain to earn money. My favourite bit of the song is the "scat" section which leads to the heavier section of the song, where Jon screams often inetelligible lyrics but it still sounds great.

3.Got The Life 10/10
Possibly my favourite Korn song, and a great choice of a single (along with Freak On A Leash.) Very funky bass lines over Jonathan Davids more rapped lyrics. One of the few metal songs I've heard which uses the lines "Come and dance with me" and "Get your boogie on." Great use of tension and a killer chorus.

4.Dead Bodies Eveywhere 10/10
This is another great song, with great lyrics regarding Jonathan Davis' farther. Great riff, and very creepy intro, with a funky mid section. The song ends with Davis screaming "Dead bodies everywhere!" and the ending leads into track 5...

5.Children Of The Korn 7/10
I can't make up my mind about this one.... I think the verse sections are weak, but the chorus flows really well, but like with most Korn songs- keep away from sensitive parents! Ice Cube does a good job here.

6.B.B.K 10/10
Another highlight in my opinion, and keeps the traditional Korn tradition of tortured lyrics, and the "scat" sections both make me laugh and rock out. A great song.

7.Pretty 8/10
A very creepy song (most Korn fans know the story behind it, so I'll leave that out) but has some good riffs, and a pretty funky feel to it, the lyrics are clever too ("Who do I feel sorry for?")

8.All In The Family 6/10
It's an alright track. The appearance of Fred Durst, doesn't really help it. But I guess some of the lines are kinda funny. The chorus isn't weak though ("I hate you, you hate me, it's all in the family") but the last variation is kinda funny.

9.Reclaim My Place 9/10
Quite a catchy song, the lyrics are quite good too. It's about the band picking on Jon, and he's snapping. Are very good song overall.

10.Justin 6/10
I'm not a huge fan of this song, despite the meaning behind it (it's about a terminally ill fan they met) but I think the lyrics could use some work, as they aren't really that caring... ("You're gonna die, you wanna see us, why?") but some of the lines work too ("Your light's too bright") So my opinion changes on it. For now I'm gonna give it a 6.

11.Seed 9/10
Another really good song, the riff is pretty good, and with another hypnotic intro. The "scat" bits again work here. The guitar riff in the verses is really creepy and works well. It seems to be about Jon dealing with fame.

12.Cameltosis 8/10
Hmm.. my opinions change on this too. Tre' from The Pharcyde does some good work on this one, and the chorus is pretty good too. For now it's a 8.

13.My Gift To You 9/10
More bagpipes! A pretty sweet riff too, a very twisted love song. After this there's some talking, and a hidden track, which is pretty heavy, and very enjoyable

Overall it's a 5-star album, and my favourite Korn album.
Good stuff.

if you want to hear the death (aka Commercial Mainstream birth) of a once-great band. I was the guy waiting in line @ midnight to buy this CD when it was released. If you are under 20 then you're too young to know what I'm talking about, and that's not your fault. Korn's first 2 albums are blistering hard. There's nothing wrong with a band trying new things, but for the most part this album was a way of telling old Korn fans that the band they know and love is dead. Millions of dollars later, for some odd reason they haven't gone back to the sound that built a fanbase to begin with, 12 (*gasp* I'm old) years ago. Enjoy it, guys. See you on the Other Side is your swan song. And if not, hopefully the kids that thought THIS album was good (poor tykes don't know any better) will let you know the deal. RIP.

Free Music Review: Umm...where to begin?
Hit: 1 Stars

So we've come to Korn, the starter of this awful nu-metal craze that's plaging the world. PLEASE STOP ALREADY!!! Korn are such an idiotic band that they make pansies like Marilyn Manson and Slipknot look like legends like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest! So many things wrong with this band that it ain't funny!

You can start by saying that Jonathan Davis is one of THE most whiniest vocalists in the history of metal! He's second to Linkin Park's Chester Bennington as the most whiney metal vocalist. The two guitarists are super sloppy and why are there two guitarists when neither of them even come close to soloing?! The drums are mediocre at best. The bass is barely audible and when you do hear it, it makes some weird creeking sound that's hard on the ears.

How about the lyrics, pretty predictable nu-metal bullsh i t. Jonathan Davis whines about his cr a p py life or how he got raped by his mother(?!?!) or how he's such a victim. The band tries to act cool by swearing a lot but they just sound like the Eminem of nu-metal.

So there you have. The album and band that brought nu-metal mainstream. Even though I hate most nu-metal, the only three bands in this genre that are good are Tool, System of a Down, and Helmet. Listen to them instead of this fu c ked up sh i t.

And there's even a track with Fred Durst...
