Free Music Review: One of the best
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a fan of KoRn since their debut album, and they just keep getting better and better. KoRn is one of the best bands in existance, and they have a lot of raw talent and energy that goes full force into their music. KoRn plays a hard driving mix of funk, rap, and metal (this mix is also known as Hard Core) that they play amazingly well, better than any other band in the same genre. KoRn has spawned many like-minded bands, like Limp Bizkit and The Deftones (both of which are very good bands, although not as good as KoRn), but they are still the best.

This album is their best yet. 14 incredible songs, four of which feature other artists. "Children of the Korn" features Ice Cube and is one of the best songs KoRn has done. " All In The Family" is the ultimate trash fest with the lead singer of Limp Bizkit. It mixes Korn's raging hard core with Limp Bizkit's funky rap-core. Second best song on the album, in my opinion. "Chameltosis" features the lead singer of the Deftones. I liked the song, and although it isn't the best song on the album, it is a good song. Finally, the last "duet" is with Cheech Marin. "Earache in my Eye" is probably my favorite song on the album. It starts with a funky "dun-dun-dun-dun" that instantly makes you wanna smile, and then your hear Cheech say, "Odelay!" and you can't help but laugh.

KoRn has an incredibly crude, yet still funny sense of humor. This album has a great deal of vulgar language, as much as many rap CDs I've heard.

My favorites songs are BBK, Reclaim My Place, Children of the Korn, Dead Bodies Everywhere, All In The Family, and Earache in my Eye. All the songs are great, however, and this is a must-buy for any KoRn fan.

Free Music Review: Follow the Leader
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is their second major opening, since their first cd didn't get alot of recignition when it first came out (though it is their best cd). They seem to have been going more towards mainstream with some of their songs : Freak on a Leash, Children of the Korn, Got the Life...etc. When I bought this cd (first day it came out), i was a little dissapointed because of how different they sounded, but i got used to it. They change, this band proves a habit of changing with every cd they release. It just takes some time getting used to a new type of KoRn. I'm not sure if they did the songs to sound more mainstream on purpose, or if it just happened that way, either way it is still an epic cd with the best song ever released onto a cd (my gift to you)...and it has many other great songs (pretty, freak on a leash). If you like any of Korn's music i suggest you buy it, but buy their first two cd's first, they are argue-ably the best. I like issues also though, in fact i like all their cd's.
It is mainstream the first 13-18 songs, and then it takes a turn (for the better) with "pretty", my second favorite song of all time. then it proceeds into a song with fred durst, which is alright but korn is just too good to put anyone else of their cd. Then it head into 21-23, alright songs which i have enjoyed very much...im not sure about 24, the chorus is alright, but it may possibly be the only korn song i am not entirely attached and appreciative towards...but then it goes into an epic ending.."my gift to you"..great great GREAT lyrics, and dark intrument work, then there is an extra song which is alright..then the cd ends, thats basicly it. BUY IT !

Free Music Review: Feel Free to Flame ME!
Hit: 5 Stars

Right, this is it. I've damn well had enough! If Korn were doing the same stuff they were doing on their debut album, NOW, you would all accuse them of having become stale and uninventive. By 'you' I'm reffering to those who accuse KoRn of 'selling out'. Being a musician myself for the whole 16 years of my yet unlived life, I know as well as anyone that progress is good. And I also know that if ever I got out there in the same way as Korn have, I would tailor the music around my needs first, based around my own musical progression. That's all KoRn are guilty of. I think the fact that they haven't become complacent with an overworked formula in metal music is a tribute to the fact that they are a fresh inventive group. I mean, sure this album, (as a case in point) won't please everyone, but it should at least take credit for trying something new. I think it's all to do with this mentality that some metal fans have that it's their music. As soon as the masses start to like it, it becomes bad and they don't like it anymore. Please, I'm not referring to EVERYONE, but for the rest of you, grow up! You should be thankful that the likes of KoRn are bringing real rock out into the light of day, even if it does mean pleasing the masses. At the end of the day, their 'job' is to appeal to x mount of listeners and make a stash-o-cash. And damn good luck to them. I don't know how regularly this review is visited, or who can be bothered to read this, but whoever does, feel free to preove me wrong, or just BS with me about my one and only love: music. Try the limpizkit with and without a '-' if you get no joy. Thank you...I guess...

Free Music Review: Think about it. (NO BS REVIEW)
Hit: 5 Stars

You may see Korn as a "Sell Out" with this album or not "Real Metal". People are saying they are untalented, weak, childish, and unoriginal. Wrong. Think real hard about what was "popular music" in 1998...

Backstreet Boys
Nsync
Usher
Will Smith
Ricky Martin
98 Degrees

...Now think about Korn.

...Now go f*** yourself in the a** real hard for being so stupid.

They formed their own genre. They played it well. They were one of the heaviest and darkest bands in mainstream rock. They were a HELL of a lot heavier and darker than what the masses listened to. Cannibal Corpse heavy? Not even close. They didn't need to be. More than enough bands like Cannibal Corpse to go around.

No, Korn is not like your favorite classic rock bands. Sorry. They are like themselves. They are original. They could not express what they are trying to express with the backbone of the music being clean vocals, elaborate melodies and guitar solos.

So... John's singing and the band is "noise"? Correct! Perhaps you wish for him to say "F*** the world, pretty please with a cherry on top."? This band is about anger, hate, suicide, rebellion, abuse, isolation, insanity, paranoia, killing and f***ing. It's going to be noise. The singing isn't going to be "pretty". Can't handle it? Sit down, shut up, and stick to your hippy music. End of story.

This album is timeless. Every song is as good as the one before it. If you love the style, it's awesome. If you love the style and can relate to the lyrics, it is a god.

Free Music Review: How did they do it?
Hit: 5 Stars

I just recently started liking Korn since Untouchables came out (I don't even know why I decided to buy it, but when I did I became obsessed with Korn). I loved Untouchables, and got the rest of their albums in a random order (whenever I could pick one up). There are two of their albums that I can't stop listening to (Korn and this). This album is so incredibly good that I have to listen to the whole thing every time I stick it in my cd player. Everything just screams "KORN". From the spooky cover art to the fact that it starts on track 13 (I have a theory that this is some sort of biography of Jon Davis's life and it starts at age 13, it kinda makes sense). It's On! just got me right in the mood for Korn. Not one single song is bad, and I like them all equally. I'm not a huge rap fan, but I still loved Children of the Korn and Cameltosis. I have a lot of music. Whenever I buy a new cd, after I'm done listening to it I always stick Follow the Leader back in my player. I know I was a little late on picking this one up (4 years hehehe), but its a classic and will be for a very long time. This is also the last Korn cd that is really intrumental (as in the drums, bass, and guitars play just as big a role as the vocals) since Issues and Untouchables, in my opinion, focus more on Jon. After Life Is Peachy, I guess Korn felt they owed it to the fans to make the best cd ever. If you don't have this cd, because maybe you didn't like Untouchables, or Korn, or Issues, or Life Is Peachy, buy it anyway. You don't have to be a Korn fan to love this cd.
