Free Music Review: KoRn is back, and more alive, than ever.
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a terrific cd, and KoRn's best cd since their debut. I havent been impressed with some of KoRn's past albums, but this one is really good. Theres not one bad song, and this is the heaviest album from KoRn. This is KoRn in their true form, and it could be KoRn's definining album. The singles you might have heard arent the best songs though('Right Now', 'Did My Time' and 'Y'all Want a Single'). In fact, I think the single 'Did My Time' is the worst song on this album. The DVD included here is pretty lame though. A one star for that. At least it was free with this. The only good thing about the DVD is the 'Right Now' music video, which is even medicore. Its not the usual one you see on music TV channels. Still, you must own this cd, but if you dont get the limited edition version, dont worry too much. The cover of Metallica's awesome song 'One' was a nice suprise too(athlough the Metallica version is still better.).

What do I think of the new album Take A Look In The Mirror? I think it rocks! This is the first album KoRn has self-produced, and a good job they did. Some songs, for example Counting On Me, sound eerie while others, like Let's Do This Now, deliver hard head-bangin music. And another beat to show how mixed up this CD is is Play Me feat. Nas. The short but sweet bagpipes are a welcome mat for the song Let's Do This Now. The other thing with this album is that it goes back to the hard roots of KoRn, and to me, it sounds old-school. For example, remember the song Need To from the self-titled? Well I believe The song Alive on TALITM is the re-made demo of that song. The first time I heard this album, the day it came out, I was blown away. I have not listened to anything else since. Well this is my first review ever of a CD, but I hope this makes you run out and buy the new KoRn album Take A Look In The Mirror.

Korn has always been my favorite band since 93'. I have all of there cd's and can't stop listening to them. I now have my greatest hits cd for them. This cd is awesome. Every song is heavy. Vocals are awesome, guitar is awesome, drumming is awesome.

Free Music Review: Take a look at the best album!
Hit: 5 Stars

KoRn's Take A Look In The Mirror is different. Different from what they've done before, different from the music of other bands. The new album is heavier than Untouchables at least, I'd say that it's as heavy as the first two. There is a lot more screaming in the album which makes it sound more emotional. Lots of swearing, too. I don't really think that it's a good thing but swearwords help to display the emotions and I suppose that they have to be used.
It is very melodic at times, very heavy and headbanging at others. Especially for fans there's a little bit of bagpipes in Let's Do This Now - something that was omitted on Untouchables.
As a conclusion I'd say that this album is more back to the roots and would appeal not only to the hardcore KoRn fans but also to everyone who likes heavy yet intelligent and different music. It's the best heavy album this year, surely.

Free Music Review: The beginning of something new
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow, i am impressed. The new KoRn album "Take A Look In The Mirror", took the old beat-up, hardcore metal/rock band to a new level of BOOM! As you listen to the CD, you start you warm up to the new riffs and lyrics, and more and more you go you get addicted to the new style. Given that the 2002 album release "Untouchables" had a very disapointing review, the +10 year old band managed to pull themselves out of the hole. You will find that all songs have a hard yelling chorus, from songs starting with soft Bag Pipes that end with impressive gutar riffs. Even though this is the first album the band has self produced, it sounds like a cross with the self titled "Korn", a little bit of "Life is Peachy", and "Untouchables". The mixture has purly made the band be herd, and Korn should be here to stay for a long, long time to come.
