Free Music Review: If you're a true Korn fan...
Hit: 5 Stars

Korn.

They started one of the greatest metal ages back in 1994, with their self-titled album, Korn.
As you look through their list of music, and the people who review their music, you can only wonder exactly what makes a true fan of any band.
....
Korn is a great metal band who's originality, and effort in writing, and making music, inspire such bands as Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and even System of a Down.
Korn's style of music can be, in a way, considered as "pop" because thanks to them, that's what it became. Popular.
And Untouchables offers no less then what fans should expect from Korn.
The music is hard hitting, melodic, utterly depressing, and well done all in one nice little bundle of 14-15 songs (depending on which version of the CD you bought.)
The guitar and bass riffs all mix together with Jonathon Davis' great vocals to make the perfect blend that can be found on every one of their CDs.
Unfortunately, most of Korn's "true" fans, are like fans of Metallica.
"everything past follow the leader is [not good], because you can't bang your head against a wall like you could with the other songs."
I disagree heavily. (Mind you this is MY opinion. ...

And now, my opinion on the songs (hopefully I'll have enough space)

Here To Stay: (5/5) The first song I ever heard by Korn. Oddly enough I didn't know what it was called. This song, not only won Korn an award for "Best Metal Act," but the song itself is a great title. It's heavy with great guitar riffs and lyrics, though hard to understand at points, are great.

Make Believe: (3/5) Good song itself, but not one of their best. My favorite parts are right before the chorus. "Waiting all this time, I have nothing to hold on, but the faces of my mind, I can see before I'm gone." or something to that likeness. I could be wrong though. No one's perfect.

Blame: (5/5) This was one of the first songs I ever heard by Korn. This particular piece had me wishing it had been a single. It would've made a great music video if they had the right director for it.

Hollow Life: (5/5) Slower and definately softer then Korn's earlier stuff, but it's my favorite song out of all of them. When I first heard this song, I downloaded it onto my computer, and played it over and over, all day long. Until that point, I had NEVER heard a song that I could do that to and still enjoy it afterwards. The chorus has to be the best part, especially the second time around where they have the ghostly, female like voice in the background. This one should've been a single as well.

Bottled Up Inside: (4/5) This is a good song. Not their best mind you but still a good song. Unfortunately I can't say that it was all that great lyrical wise, but it was still not bad.

Thoughtless: (5/5) This songs lyrics literally move through me like air through trees. It could be partially from the fact that I can relate to alot of what he's talking about in this masterpiece, but in general this song was great and well worth the title as a "single." The music video was also good (though if you have a weak stomach, I'd suggest not watch the ending. If you've already seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about.)

Hating: (5/5) This song, like Thoughtless, moved through me. This song had a tone to it, that couldn't be mached by anything else, but Hollow Life, the best Korn song out there (in my opinion anyway.) But nonetheless, this is the kind of stuff Korn is famous for. Hate.

One More Time: (4/5) Like Bottled Up Inside, this song was not one of my particular favorites but it is still very much worth a listening. This mid-part of the song where Jon sings higher and song goes softer is my personal favorite part, not because I like softer music, but because it's got a bit more of that something missing from the song in it. Without that, this song would not be as good I think.

Alone I Break: (5/5) This song, though very simple when you break down the riffs, is still very good. Full of angst and hate, this song is very depressing and yet somehow moving. It makes you wish you were with someone when you hear it because of Jon's powerful vocals expressing the hate of being alone. ...

Embrace: (2/5) It's okay. Not the greatest. The chorus part sounds like Kick The P.A. only more held out. But oh well. Still a good song, and worth a listen every now and then.

Beat It Upright: (5/5) When I first heard this song, I wasn't really listening to the lyrics, as I was the song itself. However when I actually listened to the what Jon was talking about, I couldn't help but laugh. The song is great and, in my opinion, very amusing when you actually listen to what he's saying.

Wake Up Hate: (4/5) Good song. A few querks, like the parts after the chorus could use a little work. But the chorus is a definitely powerful and destructive force to be reckoned with. You might say it's like talking about waking up Satan or something (ofcourse that's impossible because there is not Satan but again, that's my opinion.)

I'm Hiding: (2/5) Let's face it. This song was okay at parts but could've been a lot better. It's okay, but as far as music goes, it kind of falls short. Still, it doesn't hurt to hear it everynow and again.

No One's There: (5/5) Like Hollow Life, this is one of my favorites on the entire CD. The lyrics are simple and yet still moving and filled with hate, that you can just get up and sing with him, whether you mean what you're saying or not. This is another track that should've gotten a video.

All in all I'd give this CD 5 stars.

It's well worth the buy, and all the songs are good. Some better then others, some worse then others, but in general, they're all good.

Hope this was helpful. ....P>Peace.
