Free Music Notes for Fire It Up
Free Music Review: Best album by the KMK!

I got my copy of Fire It Up a day eariler before it`s release day today. After listening to it 3 times i have to say that not only it is the best album that the Kings have done, but also the album of the year to date. From start to finish Fire It Up is the Kottonmouth Kings at their best. It has more of a hip hop flavor to it than the previous albums, but it still comes strong with some punk rock on some tracks. One of the things that stands out to me about the album is Johnny Richter. He has gotten some flack from fans(which is unfair), but he really stepped up his game throughout the album. His flow has gotten much better and it really complements D-Loc. The standout songs on Fire It Up IMO would have to be Bring It On, Who`s The Criminal(great punk/hip hop featuring The Humble Gods), Life Styles(Great bass thumping track), and Leave Us Alone. I also like the bonus DVD Down For Tha Krown. It`s a great look at the cult following that the Kings have builted up over the years. Plus it has some great videos not only from the Kings, but also other Suburban Noize artists like Big B, Judge D, Saint Dog(former KMK member), Phunk Junkeez, and Humble Gods.
Also i can`t forget to mention the bonus tracks toward the end, which are previews for Kings Spade(D-Loc and Johnny Richter`s project) and Daddy X`s organic soul album. Those tracks are great previews to those upcoming releases later this summer.
I highly recommend that everyone get Fire It Up. After listening to it a few time, you`ll be Down With Tha Krown.
