Free Music Notes for High SocietyFree Music Review: Dope!!!! Hit: 4 StarsI do realize some people can' fathom somebody who loves Classical Music also finds this stuff kick @$$, but eh, life is full of surprises. OF course, people should just fathom it, but people are idiots anyway.
Even one who hates drugs, I find weed to be alright, unlike things like meth (most should think that). Kottonmouth Kings pretty much dedicate themselves to the wonderful world of the plant (at least that's what advocates say about the world). And that's just dynamite. Some of the things on here are an audio high (the middle of Day Dreamin' Fazes). These guys really like their weed, well, the lyrics are enjoyable. I never knew that weed could be eaten until these guys talked about it. I also think the whole theme beyond weed is pretty much chilling out and enjoying life as it is. Good stuff.
Oh, and the music on here is rather high energy, funky, dirty. KMK don't fret with the beats either. Round and Round seems to cross hip hop and energetic rock. It's got an abundace of hazy, booming, great beats. And you feel high.
Lot's of people don't get the KMK, but those that do know how much of an enjoyment they can be will like them. Nothing too deep or personal, mostly good times. Hey, we can't always be on the run. Eh, whatever. Just get the thing.
8/10
Free Music Review: Solid choice, but not my favorite Hit: 4 StarsThis album is a solid choice, but I prefer:
Hidden Stash II
Joint Venture
Cloud Nine
Free Music Review: The Kream of the Krop Hit: 5 StarsHigh Society is by far the best Kottonmouth Kings cd ever. I loved Royal Highness, but i just like Richter more than Saint. Most people think Rollin Stoned was the best, but its rhymes aren't really up to par with High Society. Here's a song by song review.
1)Koina Gold Greeting - just an intro N/A
2)Here We Go Again - great start to a great cd. awesome beat, rhymes, and chorus 4/5
3)First Class - Very catchy chorus. awesome beat, and fast rhymes 5/5
4)Daydreamin Fazes - One of my favorite KmK songs ever. lots of energy and awesome rhymes. great catchy beat and chorus. 6/5
5)The Joint - I didn't like this song at first but now it's also one of my favorite KmK songs. pretty good beat, awesome rhymes. 5/5
6)Good As Gold - The beat to this is so white, it's awesome. the chorus is catchy also and the rhymes are great. 5/5
7)Face Facts - Catchy chorus, good beat, one of Loc's best rhymes here. (i'm not the best, just flexed on the next Daddy X planetec, simply, not complex) 5/5
8)Peace Not Greed - Definitely in my top 5 of any KmK song. the beat has tons of energy, and so do the rhymes and the awesome catchy chorus. 6/5
9)The Lottery - Awesome! Chorus isn't too great, beat is incredibly awesome, and Loc raps for over a minute. 5/5
10)Round and Round - Chorus is good, the beat is so white again it's great. i love how Richter and Loc go back and forth. 5/5
11)King's Blend - Not much to say. Awesome beat, awesome chorus, fast, and i mean FAST rhymes. This is the Kings at their absolute best. 6/5
12)Anarchy Through Capitalism - just a filler N/A
13)We the People - One of the only songs on this cd i skip sometimes. cool beat, rhymes are good, just doesn't stand out to me. still good though 4/5
14)Elevated Sound - First song i ever hear by KmK. Awesome beat and sounds, great rhymes and catchy chorus. 5/5
15)UnXplanetory - The other song i skip usually. Beat is ok, raps are still good, but the song overall doens't seem to have much energy. 3/5
16)Wickit Klowns - Great song. Full of energy and the chorus is catchy even if you can't undertand it. I love ICP too so this song was even better. 5/5
17)Coffee Shop Stop - Catchy chorus, great rhymes, nice kickback beat. 5/5
18)Size of an Ant - I love this song. Loc is awesome on this song. Funny chorus. Only thing i don't like is Grand Vanacular. 5/5
19)Crucial - Great song, used to be my favorite. beat is full of energy and so are the rhymes. good to play in your car. love Dogboy too. 5/5
20)B-Dubb's Blend - Just some mixing on the tables. Still a great beat and cool sounds. N/A
Everything about this cd is awesome. I dont' see why anyone wouldn't like it. If you are just getting into KmK, get this, not the mediocre new cds like Koast 2 Koast. Oh, and yes most of the rhymes are about marijuana, so if you don't like that stuff you may not like KmK. You should know that by now though.
Free Music Review: amsterdam... a place called home Hit: 5 StarsThis was the ablum that marked the change in direction for KMK. Even though Johny Richter was the orginal member of the Kottonmouth Kings before Saint Dog (for those who have watched 10 Years Deep) this was the first album that he appeared on as a member. I got into KMK around 2004 but picked up the first 2 records first, then got High Society and this was the album that finally clicked with me. The first 2 records are great on their own terms but I really started to dig the sound they had goin on High Society. Tighter rappin skills, better beats, production was better and the album has alot of energy that gets me pumped up. Once I heard this album I knew I loved the sound and been hooked ever since. This has to be one of my favorite KMK records I love every song. pick it up!
Great tracks:
Here We Go Again
First Class
Day Dreamin' Fazes
Face Facts
Peace Not Greed
The Lottery
King's Blend
We The People
Elevated Sounds
Coffee Shop
Free Music Review: High Society = High Energy Hit: 5 StarsI find this album to be so full of energy its unbelieveable, KMK are an awesome band even if there topic of smoking weed and drinking gets tiresome,
Kona Gold Greeting: Just a 16 second intro, nothing special.
Here We Go Again: Great opener, great beat with lots of bass, mostly D-loc and Richter on this and they come good. 5/5
First Class: A really cool chilled out beat, D-loc comes best for me on here, the chorus is average. 5/5
Day Dreamin Fazes: My favourite KMK song ever, this song is awesome, needs to be played loud, the beat and lyrics are awesome although its the beat that does it, the chorus is catchy, you will be singing along, if you dont dance around to this you are dead inside. 5/5
The Joint: This song has grown on me alot, i wasnt to keen on this, but now i find the beat very infectious, the verses are decent, the chorus is average. 4/5
Good As Gold: Another awesome song, the beat is very cool, i love the chorus, the verse are cool this whole song just flows well together. 5/5
Face Facts: I enjoy the chorus and the beat, the verses are ok, but i just seem to skip this alot, i just cant get in to it, no means a bad song tho. 3/5
Peace Not Greed: Wicked Song, again beat and lyrics are awesome like most on this album, the chorus is great, the KMk are saying there would peace not greed if the whole world smoked weed. 5/5
The Lottery: A song about what they would do if they won the lottery, i think its an average song. 3/5
Round And Round: We continue with more wicked songs, the beat is wicked and bouncy, D-Loc and Richter are great on here and you will be singing along to the chorus. 5/5
King's Blend: Really cool chilled beat with Richter and D-Loc jus straight ripping it apart, another wicked track, maybe the most sounding Hip-Hop track on the album. 5/5
Anarchy Through Capitolism: This is just a 37 second track with Coporate Avenger reading sumthing out, kinda like a buildup to the next track.
We The People: Another banger of a song, again the beat and verse are wicked. 5/5
Elevated Sounds: Another song that grew on me, this is a decent song for me now that i used to skip, how stupid was i. 5/5
Un Xplanetory: I find the verse very good but i cant stand the chorus and i also dont find the beat very good at all. 3/5
Wickit Klowns: Guest Apperance here by the Insane Clown Posse, either you love them or hate em, i love em so this track is a bonus for me cause this track kicks ass, the beat, verses and chorus are all wicked. 5/5
Coffee Shop: A fairly decent song, but i tend to skip. 3/5
Size Of An Ant: A pretty cool song with some excellent rapping, jus another song stuck with many other great songs on this album. 4/5
Crucial: A wicked song, with the best chorus on the whole album and beat is fairly cool and great verses. 5/5
B-Dubbs Blend: Just an Instrumental of the beat used in Size Of An Ant, pretty cool beat.
Look how many 5/5 i gave on this album, now i know that might not be your opinion but if want to buy a KMK album i suggest you get this first an excellent album with wicked beats, also great for the party with tracks like Round & Round, Day Dreamin Fazes and Peace Not Greed, buy this now.
