Free Music Notes for High Society

Free Music Review: amsterdam... a place called home
Hit: 5 Stars

This was the ablum that marked the change in direction for KMK. Even though Johny Richter was the orginal member of the Kottonmouth Kings before Saint Dog (for those who have watched 10 Years Deep) this was the first album that he appeared on as a member. I got into KMK around 2004 but picked up the first 2 records first, then got High Society and this was the album that finally clicked with me. The first 2 records are great on their own terms but I really started to dig the sound they had goin on High Society. Tighter rappin skills, better beats, production was better and the album has alot of energy that gets me pumped up. Once I heard this album I knew I loved the sound and been hooked ever since. This has to be one of my favorite KMK records I love every song. pick it up!

Great tracks:

Here We Go Again
First Class
Day Dreamin' Fazes
Face Facts
Peace Not Greed
The Lottery
King's Blend
We The People
Elevated Sounds
Coffee Shop

Free Music Review: Amsterdam, A Place Called Home....
Hit: 5 Stars

This has to be my 2nd favorite album by KmK. Every single song on this cd is a chill factor, with groundbreaking songs. Coffee Shop has to be like one of the best songs on this cd no doubt about it right next to King's Blend. But for one thing i kind of miss saint dog, cause man in royal highness he put it all into it Old School, until he left. Then he got replaced by Johnny Richter, And Alot of people say that saint dog is better then Johnny. Well unfortanely not really J-Ric has more ability to spit some lyrical lyrics that will make wanna here more, And more about him. My only thing to say is that i hope KmK makes an album that will put back saint dog, Cause if they do, for sure it will be like a cult classic cd right next to "Royal Highness" , "High Society", And Hidden Stash 2.

Free Music Review: Good Points on a good band
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd is smokin'! I ain't kiddin either, cuz, 1) this cd has been in my player for almost 8 months now and still going,& 2)They like to rap about marijauna, which is cool. There beats are awsome, as is their rapping. Who else has 3 mc's (D-Loc, Johnny Richter, Daddy X), a DJ (DJ Bobby B), a drummer (Lou Dogg), and a psycho break dancer? I don't think any other group out there has this kind of a great cast. All the songs on this cd are cool, though my favorites are numbers 2, 6, 10, 16 (with ICP) and 19. Also, this cd is over 75 minutes long and never gets boring! If you like the songs on this cd, or for a little taste of the KMK music, check out take a bite outta rhyme, cuz they got a kick @$$ song on that disc too! Peace, and blaze on.

Free Music Review: Hip-Hop at its best
Hit: 5 Stars

Some people may think of the Kottonmouth Kings as just a bunch of stoners who can't rap a verse, or write a rhyme. Well they have proved those haters wrong with thier newest release "High Society". With the back-and-forth rapping styles of the energetic D-Loc, to the laid back, smooth flowing Jonny Ritcher the Kings have one of the most unique styles. With producer and band member Daddy X, the Kings have a well developed, complete album. From the anarchist "Peace Not Greed" to "The Joint", the Kings provide in your face lyrics with good beats, thanks to DJ Bobby B and Lou Dog. How many other rap groups put together a 20 song 75+ minute cd? Not many, the Kings are for real. Are you Down With The Krown?

Free Music Review: Great GREAT CD
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd is probly the best one they did, Royal Highness was all over the place with different styles and different beats but High Society was, just a great cd. Its an hour and a half of pure raw solid beats and mixes. My favorite song is round and round. Even though Saint Dogg left the group after Royal Highness, D-Loc shows his real skliz on this cd, and Johnny Rictor cleans up with the deeper voice which perfects the souns of the kings. They are really the best group of white rappers today, they have much, much more energy over eminem, and have the old school party style of the beastie boys(e.g. License to Ill.) BUt if your into rap and would like to hear a great cd, please put this one at the top of your list.
