On August 11th, 1996 Kotton Mouth Kings released their first full-blown cd. Known mostly for their explicit lyrics about smoking marijuana and drinking 40's all day long. They have made them self's widely known throughout the music industry. Doing tours with ICP and Three Mafia, their fan base stretches from their hometown Cali. to the shores of D.C. One song titled Bong Tokin' Alcoholics, talks and out drinking Mickey's and smoking from bongs all day long. The songs are only about 3 to 4 minuets in length with each cd running about 75 minuets total.
From the response of their fans at concerts KMK is here to stay. By doing songs with Insane Clown Posse (ICP) they have picked up at least half a million to a million Juggalo fan (ICP's fans). Concerts fell like you have just landed in Amsterdam with people smoking blunts and joints left and right. Some fans are so dedicated to the group that they get the KMK logo tattooed on their backs and chests. Unlike some concerts for metal bands and rap groups there are fights and mosh pits, KMK's concerts offer a fun time with people just chilling and relaxing everywhere.
With a rap, tecno skater beat KMK reaches a wide amount of people. With beats that can get anyone tapping there feet and bobbing their heads. Turntables with a lot of bass make beats bump. In the words of KMK, "Kottom Mouth Kings don't stand for the game, Kotton Mouth Kings just let the nuts hang everyday thing how we hang how we hang Kotton Mouth Kings just doin are thing!!!!"

Kottonmouth Kings feature unquestionable intelligence. Besides the obvious musical and lyrical skills reflected in their albums, the Kottonmouth Kings THINK FOR THEMSELVES (anyone listening?). Offering their strong opinions on government and American Democracy, you'll notice that this band does not regurgitate the conventional ideas many Americans (and others) are molded to believe. It becomes clear that the members have contemplated society's traditions. While too many people seem to eagerly swallow and follow the laws of U.S. government without question, the Kottonmouth Kings offer some hope- not a happily-ever-after, sunny mirage (a sure way to guarantee disappointment), but a solid, hardcore, true-to-life sense of hope. Delivering this politial core interspersed with great bumps and beats, interesting background and instrumental music, and lyrics that really say something, the Kottonmouth Kings have a lot to offer. Keeping in mind that they also support and appreciate drugs, come from a suburban setting, know how to laugh and have fun, all the while displaying their individuality and intelligence, I feel this band should receive 10 stars instead of 5. da kottonmouth kings have thier own specail quality sound thattakes thier music one step higher and they have a future forthemselves royal highness is a great cd life aint what it seems is a great song i would vote it to be #1 song ever if da old folfs at tha grammys would listen to it so hgh is also a great song and bong tokin alcoholics is also another great song this group of rappers have a future and iwouldn't be surprised if they made it big just like tha insane clown posse did but thier sound has a different quality than insane clown posse's quality and both r very good bandsi would love too se them get on a tour bus and do a nation wide no what the hell maybe even a world tour to do some of both's great songs and too combined them would make an unstopable group that would tear up the music woorld and pit it out on the plate known as the world wit insane clown posse's lyrics and tone and kottonmouth king's tone ad lyrics they would be unstopable the only thing in thier way to the top is the old wind bags at the censors and the stupid people tha put thoose little queer explict language signs on the album cover, but other than that this group has a bright and huge career ahead of them. What can be said about kMk? Daddy X has put together another great group, just like the Humble Gods. Except with kMk being much more talented lyrically and musically. DJ Bobby B puts an amazing sound to the music. "Royal Highness" is there first album, "High Society" is a great and I mean great follow up album. WIth tracks on "R.H." like "Bump", "Spies", "What's Your Trip".. tracks like that to keep you moving. .. And the hip-hop based "Play On". This album covers it all.. except country.. haha. The hidden track[s], "Pimp Twist" and the "Bump [Remix] are also great tracks. "Pimp Twist" being one of my favorite kMk songs ever. For a suggestion.. go out an buy "Hidden Stash". A kMk CD with old school and un-released tracks. Including one featuring the infamous Johnny Richter.. the original kMk member. But Saint.. I send much love, and we miss you in the crew! The Kottonmouth Kings are straight out of Orange County California, and they keep kickin out phat beats and lyrics just like so many other great music acts from that area. The Kottonmouth King's album " Royal Highness" is a great album to juist listen to. The album talks about everyday lifestyle, troubles, and obstacles that teenagers have to overcome. If people would take the time to listen to them and not say ohh look they talk about weed, they must be another group of f*ups, they would understand that they speak there mind and they don't care. So if you are a music fan and you like music that means something and isn't just another band that is trying to make it big, gve them a try, i did and now I am the biggest fan. Also if you ever have the chance take the time spend 20 dollars and go see them live, they are great performers.
