Free Music Notes for Body LanguageFree Music Review: The Queen of Dance-Pop proves it with Bodylanguage Hit: 5 Stars
Ah, yes, the sounds of the 80's! Or, whatever. At least that's the feeling I get from "Bodylanguage" all washed-up in synthesized, muted beeps, blipping electric-sounds, rolling jittering beats, and more synthesizers is what sets this great cd apart from the rest.
It's becoming pretty clear that Kylie Minogue has become the reign queen of pop that's washing-up stars of yesterday like Madonna, Britney Spears (too busy wanting kids), and Janet Jackson, at least in Europe. So, it should come as no surprise that the sleek, ultra-contemporary dance pop of "Body Language" is not just an excellent follow-up to `Fever,' but it's way ahead of recent records like Madonna's "American Life",' Spears' "In the Zone", and Jackson's "Damita Jo."
Not that Madonna's "American Life" is no good, I like it a lot, but Kylies' "Bodylanguage" is also an excellent CD that every dance pop fan should have in their collection. Despite of what critics say, this CD is well produced and it offers a great collaboration of songs with a twist of funky 80's synthesized beats and sexual rhythms that only Kylie can create and bring to life. With that said, this is another of Kylies' albums that no Kylie fan should pass up.
Free Music Review: Kylie's Body Language! Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album back in November (the import version) and I was really surprised at Kylie's new sound. The album had to grow on me, but it definately did, and this is one of my favorite Kylie albums now. The album has an urban feel to it, lots of R&B influences and less of that electro pop/dance sound her previous albums like FEVER have sported. The first single was "Slow" and it may not have catched on, but it's a great song. The new single is "Red Blooded Woman" and it's really catchy and hopefully will be a smash hit. I think the next single should be "Obsession" because it has a great hook and melody and has hit written all over it. "Loving Days" is an excellent song, one of my favorites on the disc, and probably the best ballad she's ever done. "Chocolate" is another amazing song, one of my all time favorite songs. "Still Standing", "Promises" and "Sweet Music" are other great songs. I also really like the closing "After Dark". The bonus tracks "Cruise Control" and "You Make Me Feel" are super as well. This album has a more mature sound from Kylie, and in my opinion, some really great lyrics. A great album!!

EXCELLENT! This latest offering from Kylie is one of those that really grows on you. First listen and nothing will really stand out, by the third listen you will be picking up on the genius of these perfect pop tunes. This is a seriously sexy album where Kylie has taken 80's techno and bought it bang up to date to create a sound all of her own. Best tracks have to be "Red Blooded Woman" and "Secret" which includes a fantastic rap from Kylie which would leave Madonna squirming at the thought of her own effort at rapping. "Sweet Music" showcases what a fantastic eighties diva Kylie would have been had she not been at the hands of PWL at the time.Kylie is really treading new ground here and seems so comfortable with it. This CD is so fresh and funky, don't judge it on the first listen, I really didn't rate it first time round, but soon realised that this is definatley Kylies best offering to date. Don't compare it to "Fever" Kylies obviously moved on from it so why haven't half the people reviewing this CD. Had she recreated another "Fever" it's those very people that would be moaning that it sounded exactly the same. Full marks to Kylie for the change in direction, it paid off.
Free Music Review: Awesome CD....Give Kylie a chance!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I fell in love with Kylie Minogue after I saw her in the campy Australian horror/comedy Cut (also starring Molly Ringwald). I made it my duty to seek out her CDs and enjoyed all of them. A few months later, she made her long-delayed journey back to the States with her single "Can't Get out of My Head," the first since her "Locomotion" remake of the 80's. It was a pleasant surprise hearing this wonderfully talented vocalist on American radio. I enjoyed that CD, Fever, immensely and quickly became a huge fan.(...)Now, with her newest CD, Kylie has once again continued to amaze me. Her first single SLOW, is a very different song, sensual, hypnotic, and beautiful. Her second single, RED-BLOODED WOMAN, is catchy, fun, and upbeat. All the other songs on the CD are just as good. This is the perfect party soundtrack, full of pulse-pounding, upbeat, creative dance mixes, very reminiscent of an 80s soundtrack and Kylie's songs of the 80s. I don't understand why Kylie isn't more popular here in the States. Perhaps because her songs are unique and music videos daring. I know how America doesn't like anything different. That's a shame. Give Kylie a chance, you won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Body Language Hit: 5 Stars
Dismiss her as the Euro-trash version of Madonna or Britney Spears if you like, but one listen to Kylie Minogue's "Body Language", and you'll see the competition is rather weak. Compared to the aforementioned ladies' 2003 releases- "American Life" and "In the Zone"- "Body Language" easily stands out with its sophisticated revisions of electro, R&B-lite and '80s pop. A "Can't Get You Out of My Head" it is not, but lead single "Slow" will hypnotize to startling effect once you can overcome its alarming minimalism. Kylie has culled the electro, '80s trend to fit her radio and dance-floor needs, and admittedly there are moments where it falters. "Red Blooded Woman" is catchy, though it never gets too far, and "Still Standing" veers too far into Prince territory for true comfort. But it's moments like the lush "Chocolate" and the funky disco vibes on "I Feel For You" that put this album in a class act above its peers. Even Kylie's rap on "Secret (Take You Home)" fails to deter the song's sonic excitement. With nothing instantly catchy as anything on "Fever", the decadent charms within "Body Language" will be difficult to resist with repeated listens.
