Free Music Notes for Impossible Princess (Spec)Free Music Review: Average Hit: 3 Stars
It's a good CD for its time I suppose. The beats and songs are kind of flat. All in all it's ok, but nothing at which to sneeze. Buy it if you are collecting Kylie Minogue Albums. If you are not, and want good music that Kylie is most notably known for, get some of her others music.
Free Music Review: Not that good, but love the direction Hit: 2 Stars
As with any mega artist that has been around for 20 years and released a crazy amount of singles and albums. Not everything by that artist is great. This is a prime example, while I thought Cowboy Style and Breathe were two very good songs that i play occasionally. The rest is really just filler. Drunk? Seriously, it's lame techno beats over her saying drunk(haha ok maybe not to that extreme but that's what it felt like to me). After hearing Cowboy style I expected this album to be really good, but was disappointed. I will say one thing, she did do any intersting job of fusing techno along with scottish/british rhythmns on her last few tracks. Other then that some of this album is like a bad kelly clarkson cd(even thought this did come out way before), and the other half a lame techno party. I would buy this album if your into electronic music, but other then that I wouldn't waste any money on it.

I'm an avid Kylie fan. This album however isn't my favorite. It's cute, I'll give it that, but I wouldn't stress out about hearing most of these songs again. There are certainly some great songs on here (Breathe and the remixes) but again not my favorite.
Free Music Review: Overrated by the fans. Hit: 1 Stars
Whilst ten times more the album her last three albums were, there is ultimately something incomplete about it. The production isn't particularly fantastic and Breathe is one of the songs that sounds unfinished. A lot of it is just medicore and I know Kylie was trying to say something meaningful with this album, that doesn't make it good album though. The album sounds as if its one huge blatant jump on the Britrock bandwagon which was largely popular at the time, Kylie's image was starting to look stale and naff at this stage that she got some help by employing the Manics and various cool dance producers and songwriters to get some credibility but the album was largely ignored and now she realises she should stick to a field that she is safer in and is more suited too. It tried to be too "indie" but they were just generic medicore pop songs with some guitar thrown in, it wasn't full on techno or rock like PJ Harvey or Bjork and the songwriting is a bit juvenile in places, certainly no Tori Amos, (who's a much better songwriter than Kylie). Kylie's just better off not getting above her station and sticking to what she can do than be over-ambitious hoping to get taken seriously. Despite what much of her fans say, (The I.P. Cult), it largely is an overrated album.
