Free Music Notes for Light YearsFree Music Review: AMAZING! Have You Found The Secret Track Yet??? Hit: 5 Stars
Kylie's comeback album was in my opion her best ever and deserved the worldwide success that was to follow with Fever. This is pop in its purest form and starts with the Paula Abdul penned Spinning Around which confirmed that Kylie was back to kick ass, when it stormed into the UK charts at No1. This CD hasn't got one single duff track on it and the best tracks in my opinion were never released as singles - "Koocachoo", "Your Disco Needs You" and "Disco Down" This is definatley disco for the new millenium. Just when you think Kylie can get no better there's the secret track "Password" (Just rewind Track One to access it)you won't beleive that such a fantastic track had been there all the time without you knowing!! Probrably one of the best Pop albums in my collection!! If you like this check out Kylies little sister Dannii Minogues monster hit of and album "Neon Nights".
Free Music Review: One Of A Kind Hit: 5 Stars
I only bought this CD after buying "Fever," because of "Butterfly" (included as a hidden track on "Fever"), and "Spinning Around," which I love also. I was pleasantly surprised. Much more diverse than "Fever," or any other really good album, this one's consistency lies in its theme more than style, and that theme would seem to be FUN. This is a fun set. Kylie's so playful on these tunes. Campy, someone said earlier. Yes, definitely. Even cheesy at times, but cheese has never been better. As fluff pop goes, this bubblegummy, fluffy, cotton candy-ish can give you cavities. But this set has something bubblegum hasn't had in a while: wit. I just love this one. You get up on Saturday morning, stumble out of bed, get your list of housecleaning chores, and crank up "Light Years." By nighttime, you'll be heading out to find a real dance floor.
Free Music Review: Light Years ahead......... Hit: 5 Stars
Aptly titled, Kylie is indeed light years ahead... A welcome return after 2 acclaimed but commercially lackluster albums, Kylie updates herself by turning into a hip dance diva, and gives us an album of songs that are highly stylish and with doses of retro vibes.
Unexpected of someone from the Stock-Aitken-Waterman home, each song makes use of that over-the-top 70's vibe and creates a nice dancey feeling from start to end. You could almost turn that bedroom into an instant dancefloor. From the excellent Paula Abdul co-penned first single Spinnin' Around, the club-bound On A Night Like This to the dramatic Your Disco Needs You and the Robbie williams duet Kids, Kylie displays a flair for pop that many artists are sadly devoid of. Next to Madonna, Kylie rocks big time, staying true to her pop roots.
Great way to start liking Kylie. Infectious!
Free Music Review: Many fantastic things in one CD Hit: 5 Stars
When I gave a lsiten to a couple tracks I didn't know what I was getting into. I have never heared of this album but I have heared quite a bit of "Fever". "Can't get you out of my Head" was played everywhere all the time as if it were the end of radio. Where as its a good song one can take only so much. So I didn't know WHAT to expect of Light Years. Buuut I bought it anyway. If its good then great. If not then oh well. But what I found of the CD I never expected. The whole thing in my oppinion is great. Powerful, Fun, and the mixture of styles in each song was great. And usually with a great beat. (its part dance and part not all in one) Litterly each song is opposite the others. Sometimes not a good thing but in this case its a great thing. I reccomend it HIGHLY. Deffinately worth the purchase. If you like Fun you will like this CD.
Free Music Review: Kylie-Rulez Hit: 5 Stars
When I first heard "Spinning around" I thought, what a silly song. When it was released in Germany my sister bought it and heard it all day. I hadn't any choice and there wasn't a possibility to escape, I had to listen to it too. But then I recognized, that it was a great song, so I decidet to buy "Light years". I listend to it and I loved it. It has been one of the best records I ever heard. And the best song on this Album is absolute "Loveboat". The other very very good Songs are "Koocachoo", "Under the influence of love", "Light years" and "Please stay". There is only one bad song, which is called "I'm so high", but the other 14 songs are real good. Forget "Fever", "Light years" is much better. You have to buy it and it will become one of your favourite albums.
