Free Music Review: It's good to have Kylie back!

Firstly, it's really cool to see Kylie recording new albums. The second live album from Kylie, which has been released a decade after the Intimate & Live, includes Kylie's some of greatest hits' live performances.The new form of Showgirl Tour includes a new track "White Diamond" and the amazing mash-up of "Light Years" and "Turn It Into Love". The new mix of "Slow" is also amazing. I would especially love to see the live performance of Kylie on DVD while singing "Slow". The new additions and remixes of the songs make the show independent from the former one. However, if you bought the Showgirl DVD, half of the tracks may not make you excited; because you've already heard them. The album also includes three non-single tracks from Impossible Princess album which makes me happy as one of the biggest fans of the album.However, the situation becomes contradictory, when you take this album as a "Greatest Hits Live" recording. There are lots of hits remaining in Kylie's career, which she would have performed during the tour. To keep it short, this album is a must for every single Kylie fan. Those who wants to hear Kylie's live performing can also buy the album, because her live vocal performance is amazing. The rest would better wait for the DVD.Free Music Review: awesome cd!!!!!

I`ve been a fan of Kylie for years and definitely she keeps getting better and better!!! I highly recommend to buy the CD and the DVD of that concert and be able to you`ll witness what i`m talking about. Sit back and enjoy the show!!!!Free Music Review: Get the DVD instead

I love Kylie Minogue, but inexplicably this live album is a bit of a disappointment. For one, the original Showgirl concert has went through some changes; "Giving You Up", "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi", "Put Yourself in My Place" and "Your Disco Needs You" have been dropped, and they're missed. In their place we get "Too Far", "Cowboy Style", "Light Years/Turn It Into Love" and a new track, "White Diamond". While I like the new track, I would have preferred to hear in its studio version first. "Light Years" and "Turn It Into Love" are not suited for each other, so it's an awkward mash-up. Another strange mash-up is Kylie's own "Burning Up" with Madonna's "Vogue". I realize mash-ups have become the rage, but they have to have something in common to work; in this case, it doesn't. And while I love hearing tracks from Impossible Princess, they don't seem to work in this show. I loved the campy, over-the-top style which can be seen on the DVD, but is significantly muted on this audio release. Kylie sings well, but this revamped production of Showgirl seems all over the place.
I recommend the 2005 DVD release of Showgirl. It's lots of fun, and you get the visuals, too.
