Can't really say much, since everything I wanted to say about this album has already been said! This music is for those who have a great appreciation for REAL soul music. Her vocals are very reminiscent of her late father, the great Donny Hathaway.
Lalah really brought some gems to this album! This is one of those albums you can actually listen to from front to back. It really puts you in the mind of deep relaxation and serenity, like you have no care in the world!
I highly recommend this album and implore you to add it to your music collection!

A nice fusion of R&B with Jazz would describe this latest disc by Lalah Hathaway. The best songs on the disc are, Let's Go, Breathe, Own My Own, For Always, That Was Then, Little Girl, and What Goes Around. On second thought, the whole disc is good. Just put it in your player, and cool down with it. She's catering to a higher end buyer, in this writer's opinion, that's a good thing. I highly suggest you purchase this disc, and not get the MP3 version. This type of artist, you need all that the disc has to offer, and I'm sorry, a down-load MP3 doesn't do it justice.Free Music Review: Hypnotic...

Been a fan of hers for years. I was a little scared to get this new album...almost afraid she wouldn't be as good as her first projects.
I will gladly eat this crow. Absolutely no need for fear. This album is truly an example of "things becoming better with age." Her voice is like hot chocolate made with real milk and butter. Sweet, lush. It coats you...all the way to the inner most deepest parts of you. Truly powerful.
Don's sleep on this...if you do you will have nightmares full of regret for not getting it.

from song 1 to song 12 there is not one bad song on Ms. Hataway's cd , I'm so glad in a hip hop world that she has kept the same format. Its obvious this cd was meant for the mid 20's to 30's generation Ms. Hathaway is a breath of fresh air in a smoke field world...if you want relaxing soulful, jazzy cd then Lalah Hathaway is the right choice to go. I would have to say Ms. Hataway, and Ms. Winehouse are hands down my to fav artist of all time. Excellent suggest you buy this cd now!!!!!!!!!Free Music Review: So Soulful, So Dope

I have been sleeping on Lalah. This album is pure hotness. Real smooth jazzy dope tracks, a beautiful voice, and some grown up lyrics. Lalah has a very strong beautiful voice that reminds me of Angie Stone. This is the type of album where you can have some good cognac, a nice dinner, and have this album playing in the background. From the beginning to the end this is a classic album and needs to be purchased by all music lovers. Donny has to be very pleased and proud of the music his daughter is putting out.
