Free Music Review: Lalah's time is now and we better recognize!

I'll admit the first time I got a Lalah project it was because she had that NAME. I realize now she made me feel connected to something I lost. Just listened to what I thought I needed. Time passes and now I "hear her divine" speaking through her. On "Self Portrait" Lalah is emerging with a voice so clear and loud you will not miss her. She's says it's nature and nurture. OK I say I finally found what I really needed and like she says "That Was Then, This is Now". Universe we better recognize!!!!Free Music Review: Go get this CD best this year BY FAR!!!!!!!!

This has to be the best CD so far this year. i have all of Lalah cd's. i tell you what, you have to go buy this cd, this is the best work she has done ever!!!! when you think you like one song, then ther is another and another,Right now my tracks are 1,4,5,8,12. and repeat. Go get this cd i am 110% confident that this the best cd in 2008. IF you dont think so, you have to be on something more stronger than any drug. This is REAL music from a phenomenal source of TRUE talent. I have this CD in my car and CANNOT stop playing it. The production is lush, amazing, something you can ride up the coast to. And Lalah's voice, as always, is like BUTTER. I recommend this CD to all who possess eclectic yet refined and adult tastes and who like to surround themselves in the finer accountrements in music. All I can say is that Lalah did her thing on this cd. After hearing Lalah Hathaway on a cd with Joe Sample I decided to give her music a try, and I am really glad that I did. I personally enjoy the entire cd, my favorites are - That Was Then, Breathe, Tragic Inevitability, What Goes Around, Let Go, 1 Mile, For Always!!! This CD is everything that I expected from Lalah! This woman really tore it up on this one. Best tracks are "Little Girl," That Was Then," "On Your Own," and "For Always." I'm feelin this CD so much that is stays in constant rotation. Her music is definitely for the mature listener...you know... people who have gone through some things. All I have left to say is... GET THIS CD TODAY!!!
