Free Music Review: PURE AMERICAN METAL !!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

No pretense or manufactured image here, just pure metal from open to close! There is a lot going on and it took me a few listens to get fully into this, but once I did I was hooked! The production is flawless and the drums are the best I have ever heard...they sound like bullets being fed thru a machine gun! The Adlers have the best drum/guitar syncopation going, and every song has a riff that makes your blood boil. "Descending" is a nice departure for them and accoring to the latest DVD - almost didn't make the cut...I'm glad they kept it because it does show some growth for the band. The closing track "Beating On Death's Door" is my favorite, and has frantic drums and guitars flying all over the place. I just saw them on the Unholy Alliance tour with Slayer, and I fully expect them to crush Megadeth and the rest on Gigantour!

If you are giving this album a bad review, it is either because u havent listened to the album enough times, or u simply do not have a high enough musical understanding to appreciate it. This album is very solid, dynamic and emotional. It is an excellent follow up to ashes of the wake, it is a new direction for lamb of god, but it works so very well. Lamb of God is making some of the best metal out there these days, I would rate them as definately top 3 modern metal bands. Some of the best drumming in recent years. All members of the band were able to showcase their talents while not individually taking over the album, and overall, just great f*ucking metal. Lamb of God is a true band, they are not selling out and will not. How could they with Randy at vocs? Hes dark, angry and hes a crazy mother f*cker.

Free Music Review: True Metal !!
Hit: 5 Stars

With all the 'New" metal and that sort of garbage coming out these days it's nice to see a band that can hang with the likes of some of the best old school bands. I grew up with the likes of Slayer, Iron Maiden, Testament, Megadeth, Metallica and Exodus. Lamb of God is the best american Metal band to come out in a long time. Their music is heavy, written with a purpose in mind and the riffs are catchy . Randy can grunt and howl with the best of them. Thank God that someone brought back guitar solos to metal.(Anyone know what happened with those over the last few years?)I own all the Lamb of God albums and I gotta tell ya, Scrament is a nice bold turn. This album pounds you till the very end. If you want real hard American Metal and you know anything about RealMetal, this album is for you.

Free Music Review: The fans are content
Hit: 5 Stars

Lamb of God's "South of Heaven"? The only possible analogy is that they wrote a good album following a genre defying piece - in which case I guess "Far Beyond Driven" and "Iowa" are Pantera and Slipknot's "South of Heaven". Anyway...

This is an excellent album. Any one of these songs would fit right in on Ashes, which is fine because Ashes is in my opinion the best metal album of the new millenium. So far Lamb of God has changed their sound somewhat in either 2 or 3 stages starting with the more death metal style "Burn the Priest" era and progressing - however this, as aforementioned fits in well with their current and understandably established new "Ashes" sound.

In sum, you either get it or you don't. Lamb of God is the new face of mainstream metal.

This album is a triumph for metal fans in the new century. It brings power and sonic assaults at maximum speed. The vocals come through with an almost wet sound that adds to the heaviness of the overall album. The guitars and drums rock solid throughout the whole album. From the opening song "Walk With me in Hell" the brutality of the band comes through letting the listener know that "you are never alone". Later in the album the song "Pathetic" lets us know how the band feels about untrue people or at least people who change for the worse. "More Time to Kill" is another song just oozing with brutality it seems that someone is not very well thought of and this is how the band lets it be known. All in all this is a great album and a must for any fan of heavy music.
