Free Music Notes for SacramentFree Music Review: Metal? Hit: 5 Stars
I've become so bold as to tell people that there was no metal before Lamb of God. Of course that's not true, but that's how these last three albums have made me feel. I really like the black metal direction they're going in on Sacrament, and I don't even listen to black metal. Props to Blythe as usual for the dark Christian content and the anti-Christian sentiment of the lyrics, especially the preacherly call-and-response on Blackened Sun. Rise and Beating are the strongest. If you don't like this band you have no taste, or no pulse.
Free Music Review: Sacrament Hit: 5 Stars
The first thing that comes to mind when I listen to Lamb of God is "they sound like Pantera". This is a complement. I love Pantera. But they are not a copycat band so you are still going to get originality combined with pulse-pounding heavy metal intensity. I also have "As The Palaces Burn" and really like that album too, but I'd say that Sacrament is a bit more refined. Love the riffage on both albums. There is a whole lot to like about Lamb of God. Consider both for your metal collection.
Free Music Review: A band worthy of touring with the mighty Slayer. Hit: 5 Stars
Not much to really review when you have a band like Lamb of God to talk about. Their first was excellent, the second even better, Ashes was like getting hit in the head with a ton of bricks, and Sacrament??? LOG picked this fourth release to make it known that they are the future of extreme music. I thought if any band could follow Ashes with something even more insane, then it's this band. Be thankful you're all here to witness this band ... they're gonna be as huge and as meaningful as Slayer.
Free Music Review: It was an interesting change of pace for the band..... Hit: 5 Stars
Compared to New American gospel or Ashes of the Wake, this cd is more melodic riff wise. The power chords are very evident and very heavy. The vocalist takes more of a thrash metal approach to his vocals on this album. The song Redneck very much reminds me of Pantera. I like this album. Lamb of God altered their formula without getting soft or selling out and managed to make one heck of an album! I recommend this. I would get Ashes of the wake or New American gospel first though. -Dre
Free Music Review: Another Amazing Cd From LOG Hit: 5 Stars
First of all I knew that this would be another great release from one of the best metal acts today. The sound is amazing it has this southern rock vibe mixed with some heavy metal. Randy has really steped it up on the vocals side of the cd and at times he try's to have the phil anselmo approach. The other's in the band have also stepped it up with some crazy guitar riffs and the drums are sweet. This is a Must Buy for any true fans of LOG and if you like metal..
