Free Music Review: Auspicious Debut

Though many will no doubt offer obvious comparisons to fellow Canadian Celine Dion, and to a lesser degree maybe Barbra Streisand, Lara Fabian has something to offer on her own terms. For one, her voice is less crystalline and more throaty than Dion's or Streisand's. For another, she is one of the few singers that fall into the "diva" category that actually writes or co-writes her own material. Her English label debut offers many opportunities for her to breakthrough here in the states. First single 'I Will Love Again' is a rousing dance anthem in the Cher 'Believe' mode, and is executed flawlessly. There are few,if only slight, missteps on this album, and a ton of potential singles, chief among them being the gorgeous 'Part of Me' and 'Till I Get Over You', which is very reminiscent of the great and underrated Anastacia single 'I'm Outta Love'. I have to admit that I purchased this CD on the assumption that it was going to be some kind of upbeat, dany disco-teque type album with the occasional ballad. I had heard "I Will Love Again" and fell deeply in love with it. But when I listened to it the first time, it totally blew me away! I would have sworn I had picked up a Celine Dion album by mistake. She sounds so similar, and yet she has her own voice. She is truly amazing. I am already waiting for her next album! Adagio is so moving, and Not From here is so emotional, as are all the songs. It's a great easy listening CD and one of those Rainy Day Albums. She is so magnificent! If you're suffering from the hiatus of Celine Dion for her pregnancy, Lara Fabian is just what you're looking for. She's everything that you don't think she'll be! This album is so great! Here are the reasons trying to explain why do i beleive Lara got the best voice through history ( too strong ! too true ! ) :1- She does not hide the power of her voice, making her songs impossible to be performed by someone else
2- After a minute of singing, she totally forgets the world to become a real part of the song
3- She's the best live performer ever !!!
4- Her voice is so pure ..... soooooo !
5- She's so emotionnal and a wonderful deep song writer ...
For the guys wishing to have this album, they must not expect capturing melody ... coz Lara's voice is the center of each song ....
NB : For me, and only me, it's the best album ever ... coz i was searching for a voice not for music ... and i finally found it !
In addition I d love to tell u that her upcoming english album will be released in June ! I am very excited !

Lara reminds me Trisha Yearwood. Better than Celine, different from Mariah. Simple, special and rare. I do not know for how long we will have such a pleasure to our ears playing in the radio, in our cars, planes... everywhere we go. But I do know that Lara's voice is as great as a voice can be! There might be someone as good as but there is surely no one better!
The lyrics have meaning, power. Lara's voice offers them wings to fly high as this beautiful lady will always.
If one day I had the chance of meeting Lara, I would tell her "You go ahead girl! You have all you need!"
If you consider that there is nothing perfect on Earth, believe me... Lara is the closest thing to it! That sure is true!
May this angel on Earth always be blessed so that we will all feel special for having her and her beautiful voice filling the air!
Free Music Review: WOW ! Lara Fabian is Terrific !

I, like many others, bought the CD on the strength of "I WILL LOVE AGAIN" and I was not dissappointed. While, 'Love' is a snappy, dance-y club cut, much of the CD is filled with powerful, heart wrenching ballads, that will rival anything Celine or Whitney or Mariah have to offer. Lara (who offeres a cut in Italian ) has a magnificent voice,that reminds me of Australian Tina Arena in strength and power. The cut, "You Are My Heart" sounds so tailor-made for Top40 radio play, and I hope to hear it there soon. Other upbeat cuts like "I Am Who I Am" and "Till I Get Over You" have those infectious beats that stay in your head and give you something to hum in the shower - even if you can't remember the words! I look forward to more from Lara Fabian. Great songs, great music, great voice. What more could you want?
