Free Music Notes for Lara FabianFree Music Review: Lara's Best English Album Ever Hit: 5 Stars
It is hard to decide which English album is her best, Lara Fabian (2000) or Wonderful Life (2004). Her first album, did of course, produce the smashing hit I Will Love Again, which makes this album in my books her best English album ever. Adagio illustrates her vocal and song-writing excellence. I Am Who I Am shows us a more funky approach, opposed to the calm atmosphere Adagio creates. This album also features the English version of Si Tu M'Aimes, To Love Again and a song from the Dawson Creek soundtrack, Givin' Up On You. This album is characterised by wonderful melodies, beautiful lyrics and Lara's powerful vocal trademark. A must for every fan, especially English fans.
Free Music Review: New International Voice Hit: 5 Stars
When I first heard "I Will Love Again" on a local radio station, they played the slow version (not on the CD) and I was really astonished at the voice. After buying the CD, I couldn't stop listening. The voice is a cross between Barbra Streisand & Celine Dion. The fact that Ms. Fabian also writes or co-writes most of her songs is an added plus. She does have a distinctive husky sound to her voice which distinquishes it from the menioned comparisons and allows for further variation on future vocalizing. The ballads on the CD are mesmerizing. I can't wait to see & hear Lara "in concert" which, in my mind, will be the final test.
Free Music Review: Lara Fabian Live Hit: 5 Stars
I have been following Lara Fabian's songs since I discovered her in her album "Pure". She truly has a voice and a style of her own although people have compared her to the excellent singer, Celine Dion. Lara is definitely a winner! Her album Live has an excellent choice of songs and I don't think anyone could sing "Malade" the way she does. Her performance in "Malade" and "Perder l'amore" are superb. I read in a French magazine that she will alternate albums every year, one in English, one in French. Unfortunately I missed her concert at the Arena in Geneva on August 5, 2000. Is it possible to get this CD for me?
Free Music Review: A RISING NEW STAR Hit: 5 Stars
WELL I GOT THIS CD AS A GIFT FROM SOMEONE, I KNOW I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE AWESOME SINGLE OF IT. WELL ONCE I PUT IT IN THE CD PLAYER ONE THING CAME TO MIND, IS THIS HER ALBUM OR A CELINE DION ALBUM. THEY ARE TWINS, NOT ONLY THAT BUT NONE OF THE SOMGS ARE LIKE I WILL LOVE AGAIN, MOST OF THEM ARE REALLY SOFT BALLADS WITH A CROONING VOICE LEADING INTO LONG HOLDING NOTES AND STRONG VOCALS,. I AM SURPRIED A SLOW SONG IS NOT THE FIRST SINGLE TO DRAW AN AUDIENCE SINCE THAT SLOW SONGS ARE HER PITCH. WELL UNLESS THEY DO MORE MARKETING HER ALBUM WILL GO DOWN AND IT SHOULDNT. SHE SHOULD AND COULD HAVE THE POWER TO BE THE NEXT SUPERSTAR.
Free Music Review: Just can't stop listening to this one. Hit: 5 Stars
Lara Fabian, virtually came out of nowhere in the United States. Although, she's had much success in France she's just now getting noticed here with her first English album. What pulled me in was the hypnotic "I Will Love Again" the one few fast track on the whole album. The rest of the album resembles somewhat of a Celine Dion later album and as strong as a Barbara Streisand album. The captivating "Adagio" shows her true vocal talent. "Broken Vow" shows how she can really put the emotion into her songs. I bought this CD about a week after it was first released and I still can't put it down. I can't wait for the next release.
