According to "animal communicator" Dr. Kim Ogden-Avrutik (her picture is on the cover--she's the one on the right, by the way), this is the kind of music Fido likes to listen to. Dr. Ogden-Avrutik conducted numerous focus group discussions, and she learned that Rover and his pals are not overly fond of certain drum sounds (it too closely resembles gunshots) and (here's a shocker!) they don't like to hear the word "no."
Conducting my own limited focus group with my one-year-old cocker spaniel Scooter, I played a few tracks for him. "Squeakey-Deakey!" certainly got his attention. He would paw at the speakers every time the rubber toy was squeaked. But he showed little interest in the other songs like "I'll Be Back," "Scratch My Back," or "I Like Food." After a few minutes, he opted to chase the cat instead.
When I asked him what he didn't like about the songs (I'm an amateur dog whisperer myself), Scooter said he found most of the songs a bit too condescending. "Your a Good Dog," for example, spouts the kind of feel-good babble you might expect from Dr. Phil: "You are so adorable...how beautiful you are...you are so cute...." He just didn't find them very sincere. He wanted to know where are songs like "I'm in Love with Your Leg," "Chowing Down at the Litter Box Buffet," or "Booty-Scootin' Boogie"? If he had a choice, Scooter said he'd rather listen to Joe Cocker. (I'm not sure he meant that, or if he was just making a lame joke--he's a "cocker" spaniel, remember?)

I appreciate the time that this person put into chatting with Critters. I would have to disagree with the statement that "dogs love" it.. my dogs hate it!
I was by (not at.. but by) a freestyle demonstration, paying no attention to what was going on there. I was looking at something else, my dogs in tow.. when I suddenly hear from my dogs (I'm also an animal communicator) "Oh I can't stand it! Please make it stop!".. it was Squeaky Deaky. I understand their pain!
I do have to admit that many dogs did seem to enjoy to music. I can't get it out of my head. It's cutesy and fun but my dogs didn't really care for it. Maybe becuase I have Bullmastiffs and they are not known to be "cutesy".
I would suggest that if you want to find music that your dogs like, find something that appeals to you... we pick the dogs we have for a reason.. we usually have similar energy...chances are if you like it, they will like it.
Free Music Review: Nightmarishly Weird

I first heard some of this on the radio a couple days ago. I went onto YouTube to see if I could find some more, and I ran across a video for "Squeaky Deaky". At first I thought it was funny. However, about a minute into the video I began to feel weird, kind of like I was being hypnotized. Go watch that video. You will feel like you are being brainwashed. I nearly had a panic attack.
I won't be surprised if a have a nightmare based off of "Squeaky Deaky" and its video.

I ordered two CD's. One for me and one for my Mother who has a little dog who suffers from separation anxiety. Both CD's on arrival skipped terribly. You could not understand any songs. I was so disappointed! I had to package them up for return for refund. Susan Kimes
