My kids (and ME) LOVE Laurie Berkner, she is the best for kids music and we all dance to all the CD's that we have of hers (and trust me, we have quite a few!!) Get them all if you can - especially the DVD - her clothes are so colorful, they are very playful and my kids (and ME) LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!
A+ to Laurie Berkner and also The Laurie Berkner Band! I wish she'd go on tour, I'd be there in a heartbeat! It's great clean music for your kids - I take them on the field trips with the Kindergarten classes and all the kids sing along!

This is the first CD purchased for my son that I have not grown tired of listening to. We recognized a few tunes from a baby music class, tunes like "We Are the Dinosaurs", "Animal Fair", and "These Are My Glasses", all of which my son really enjoys. I love this music because so many songs lend themselves to movement, sign language, and the use of toddler-friendly musical instruments (e.g., drums, shakers). She uses a variety of styles and sprinkles in a few classics, like "She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain" and a fabulous "ABCD Medley". If you buy one CD for your toddler, buy this one. My daughter is only 19 months old and loves Laurie Berkner. We bought this and many other Laurie Berkner discs and my daughter just can't get enough. We listen to at least one or more of the discs everyday. She looks at me and says, "Mommy, Mommy" and then starts stopping her feet on the floor. That is my que to start singing the dinosaur song "Whaddaya Think of That?". All of the songs are great. They are very fun, playful, and interactive. Helping my daughter out with her motors skills and much more. I would recommend these to new Mom's, old Mom's, preschools, daycares, anywhere there are children. Highly recommended by "torri'smom". My daughter sings "We are the dinosaurs" and various other songs from the album (and Berkner's two others). My son can too, but usually lets her do the work. When we're in the car, the usual refrain is "more Laurie?" We live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, so we're fortunate enough to be able to see Ms. Berkner, her husband-bass player, Brian and her keyboard player, Susie, live several times a year. The kids are just old enough to join the other kids up front acting out the songs. I think if my kids had to choose between Laurie or Blues Clues, they'd say "Bye bye Steve." Get the video too. My daughter and I both love this CD. We have all of Laurie's CD's to date. We originally found her on Jacks Big Music Show. My three year old loves this CD because it has so many get your energy out songs, such as Dinosaurs, Doodlebugs, the Animal Fair, I Know a Chicken, The Cat Came Back and others. Laurie's songs are great at teaching children, and her CD's are a wonderful mix of both fast and slow songs. Unlike some children's singers, Laurie is one singer who I don't mind listening to over and over in the car. This particular CD of Laurie's is a must have for any energy filled toddler or preschooler.
